I've just watched episode 1 again, and Helen and Noah really hate each other at this stage. They look bad in each other's eyes in both pov. It will be interesting to see how their attitudes change as the weeks go on, or not! Looking forward to next weeks episode (ep 2) and I have a feeling it will be the same for Alison and Cole.

I found E2 much more enjoyable to watch. I just prefer the story line more. At this point it's like we are watching 2 different shows.

These are excerpts from one of Josh's interviews from yesterday during his promotion of the Moore's Suit Drive.

The Affair just premiered its fourth season last weekend. Without spoiling anything, what can we expect for your character, Cole? He’s sort of stuck in the same place where he was in season three. He’s having this crisis because he’s not being honest with the choices he’s made — or not made — in his life. He’s stuck; this season is about him unsticking.

Why has The Affair resonated with audiences so passionately? Relationships are hard! And we f–k them up a lot! The conceit of the show is showing two perspectives of a relationship. Everyone has experienced that so that’s why it resonates and is relatable. We’ve all been there. You know, when we tell people our version of events; and then, we hear a completely different one from the other person involved — whether or not it’s romantic or a friendship. etc! The Affair shows us the small beauties and violence we make in relationships with each other.

I don't know if this would be considered confirmation, but there's hope.

How many seasons will The Affair run? The intent is for it to run one more season after this current one.

I'm looking forward to next weeks episode. The Radio Times (one of our TV guides) actually showed a pic of Cole and Luisa in their synopsis of the episode. At least they are acknowledging the fact that it is about other characters than Noah and Alison now.

To answer the question yes it is episode 2 I'm talking about. The article was about Maura and her take on Helen and how Helen handles situations and how Maura would have acted differently to Helen. Good article all round. Apart from the mis-spelling of Omar Metwally's name.

I noticed when Showtime Tweets about the show, there is more Cole this season than Noah with their Tweets. I think that's promising for the rest of the season and maybe they are noticing the Cole fans out there

I saw episode 2 . I think Ben can kiss his sobriety goodbye once he gets involved with Alison.

Well none of the four main characters have got their act together yet so there will be troubled water for all their partners and prospective partners. I get the feeling that Noah and Alison will get back together once Noah gets back into work or has a new novel published.

I think Alison rather get back together with Cole. However Noah will get with anyone who want him.
