Showtime has pre-renewed The Affair for Season 5, which will also be the last in the serialized drama’s run. Speaking at today’s Television Critics Association, president David Nevins revealed The Affair is scheduled to run for one final season: “[The Affair] is a five-year show, so one more [season] after this one.” Barring a u-turn, the news means The Affair will end its run after five seasons in 2019. The fourth and now penultimate season of The Affair premieres June 17, 2018.

Maybe they are filming S4 and S5 at the same time which is why we won't see S4 until June. They did this when filming S4 and S5 of Haven, a sci-fi show filmed here.

I wish for a lot less Noah ;-) Great about S5, I just hope we'll get to see a lot of Cole in both seasons. Can't wait.

Some people ship Noah and Alison, which is not exactly where my preferences lie. I ship Noah/Very Little Screen Time in s4.

I as wondering how Josh could do a 5th season and still perform on Broadway.

Well the Broadway show is only available until September - at least it was when i got my tickets. I suppose it may go on after that, but if Josh is contracted for The Affair he may have to leave it in September. (Or they could give Cole plastic surgery and someone else take over the role).
