About the Series

At once deeply observed and intriguingly elusive, THE AFFAIR explores the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship. Noah is a New York City schoolteacher and novelist who is happily married, but resents his dependence on his wealthy father-in-law. Alison is a young waitress trying to piece her life and marriage back together in the wake of a tragedy. Set in Montauk at the end of Long Island, the provocative drama unfolds separately from both the male and female perspectives, using the distinct memory biases of both to tell the story.

Dear Sarah Treem, can we see this every week?

Thanks. :)

Bringing this over from last thread - posted by jade86.

Synopsis S3Ep7

The Affair Episode Guide: Season 3 Episode 7 "307"

I would also accept Part Two: Cole. ;)

As great as the 4th and 5th ep of this season were (I can not believe I am saying that about an episode with Noah POV in it but it's true), we're halfway through and it feels like there's Alison and Cole in one story, and Noah, Helen, French professor in another. s2 was sort of like that but not early as bad.

Well at least we will get some Helen in E7.

Thanks for the New Thread.

Steve Mason (the stunt guy from the affair) tweeted this :)

Steve Mason @iamSteveMason
@VancityJax Merry Christmas, brother! Hope to see you soon.

Josh makes friends wherever he goes and is so down to earth, he even makes friends with the crew.

A little OT but I watched Saving Mr. Banks this afternoon. Ruth does down-trodden and put upon wives really well! Looking forward to the next episode. I wonder how long it will be til we find out for sure what is going on with Noah and the guard, or he tells someone else what is happening.

I watched The Lone Ranger yesterday and noticed Ruth doing the southern accent. That made me think of Josh in LSSOM. :)

Now that is going to make me want to watch LSSOM again.

I watched Pride this afternoon for the first time. It was such a great film and Dominic was really good in it.

I saw The Lone Ranger a while ago and don't really think the part did justice to Ruth's outstanding acting talent. Sarah Treem definitely gets the best out of her in The Affair. It just shows what a talented crew she has put together for this production, to get the best out of the actors. Directors, script writers and all the production team are exceptional.

Lovely to see the twins together and with Josh and Ruth, respectively.

It looks like it would be a BTS pic, but either way, it's very cute.

I wonder if the mom was fangirling over Josh.

LWS53 12-30-2016 06:53 AM

Well he is worth fan-girling about. In fact the whole cast are pretty stellar in their own way. It must be a great way of meeting the stars and getting to know them, as well as seeing how they go about their preparation for their roles.

I tried to get my son interested in acting when he was younger but in the school play he got too stressed out and was sick before going on. He had a few minor roles in the school production of Bugsy Malone, which he was really good at but he decided acting wasn't for him. These children are really something special to perform as they do, as was Josh when he was a child actor. To stay grounded as they are growing up is especially hard, and a lot don't make it unscathed.
