About the Series

At once deeply observed and intriguingly elusive, THE AFFAIR explores the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship. Noah is a New York City schoolteacher and novelist who is happily married, but resents his dependence on his wealthy father-in-law. Alison is a young waitress trying to piece her life and marriage back together in the wake of a tragedy. Set in Montauk at the end of Long Island, the provocative drama unfolds separately from both the male and female perspectives, using the distinct memory biases of both to tell the story.

Sorry to DP but I have found a Q&A session in The Guardian with Dominic West that I thought needed it's own post.










I thought Sarah Treem looked pregnant in the press interviews she attended with the cast to talk about season 2. Now we know. I wonder how far back that will put the filming. There may be time for Josh to fit in another project, but he is more likely to take a holiday.

If Sarah gives birth on May, they may start filming in June. It would be great if josh was involved in another project in the meantime. Time for holidays will come later

I had guessed Sarah was expecting based on some of her comments/Tweets.

I would be very surprised if Josh did a project between the Play and filming of The Affair. He makes it no secret that he likes his down time.

The success of "Smart People" may contribute to getting quality offers. So far, people who saw the first preview loved it and they said the whole cast is amazing

I hadn't heard any reviews about the Play yet. I guess I will have to go investigate.

Josh's interview on Live with Kelly and Michael

I loved Kelly's comment about Cole being the only real likable character (she used a different word than likable, but I forget it now). Josh first said "Thank you" and then he went on to say that his character is more complicated than that and that he basically deserted his wife at her time of need and that instead of dealing with the loss himself, he was trying to make sure everyone else was okay. He said that Cole is a guy who tries to do the right thing. I knew it!!! and I love that about Cole's character.

Watching Josh's interview for the second time and Kelly actually says that "Cole is the only redeeming character on the show".
