| True Blood 1x02 - "The First Taste" Episode Discussion (airing 09/14/2008, 9PM EST on HBO) 1x02 - The First Taste Written by Alan Ball; directed by Scott Winant. Episode Description: Bill returns Sookie’s favor by rescuing her from the Rattrays’ revenge, healing the wounded waitress with his own blood and leaving her with temporarily heightened senses. After being invited into Gran’s (Lois Smith) house for a “get-to-know-you” gathering with Jason and her family, Bill joins Sookie for a nocturnal sojourn. They end up at Bill’s dilapidated antebellum estate, where he fights off his primal vampire urges for the acquiescent Sookie. Later, Sookie’s desires get the better of her as she returns to Bill’s – and is greeted by a gaggle of his bloodthirsty vampire friends. Written by Alan Ball; directed by Scott Winant. | Jason confuses me, too. But, man is he teh!sex ... and man wouldn't I love to come home to his tied up on my bed.   Sookie/Bill  Awesome... loved the lingering looks and the fact that he can "feel" her now. The whole blood sucking was a bit more graphic then I'd care for, but it worked. Loved the "inviting someone in" conversation...I am starting to also like Sookie/Sam  And when he asked her to read his mind.  Tara/Jason = Totally! I was feelin' it. And Tara softened up a bit this week for me.OMG... Sookie is in trouble!  Bill better come to the rescue!__________________ the dark passenger | |||

| i liked this ep as much as i liked last weeks. it stayed true to most of the book, though i didn't expect jason and tara to be added to the conversation between bill, sookie, and g-ma stackhouse. i still liked it though. jason... *sigh* i love you. tara was a little easier for me this week. she came on really strong in the first ep, but i'm warming to her now. it's so sad that jason's too busy being a whore to see tara likes him. eh... someday maybe. was i the only one a little disappointed bill can't levitate or that sookie stick her hair clip in bill's pocket and touch his sideburns like in the books? i really wanted to see the sideburn touch... maybe i like the books too much :]] all in all, i really like the show so far and i can't wait till next week's ep! | |||

| Master Fan | I LOVED this episode. It was just awesome! I liked it as much as the pilot! Jason, gosh he's such a man-whore, though i do find it funny that's he's gonna be tied right up to that bed for sometime. Bill was interesting this week, the interaction between him and Sookie was Great too! I liked the part where they were kissing and he refrained, and his fangs were retracted. Pretty cool! and very well acted by stephen and anna  The scene with Gran, Sookie, Jason and Tara talking to Bill was lovely. I liked how it was put together and the fact that Jason was made to look like a fool  No one else has to try to make him look like one Ha!I totally knew from the books how they were gonna cliffhanger it, and i liked how they did that too. It worked and the crazy vampires looked...well...Crazy! Overall, GREAT episode, I totally love this show so much and it's pretty true to the books which is just great too.
