Some people don't like the last books because Sookie is not in a relationship with anyone from about the middle of book 7 though book 8. In books 7 and 8 a lot of situations and some love interests get cleared up, so probably won't be featured in subsequent books. But Sookie's relationships with these three, Bill Eric and Sam, are very strong so she could end up with any one of them. There are some great adventures and situations in the last 2 books. We find out why Sookie is telepathic and there is a very interesting revelation at the very end of book 8. It might even be my favorite book so far ( although I do like book 4 a lot too).
