Possible Board Closure Discussion: Please Read and Respond!
 

Hi everyone :wave:

Jenn and I have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close the True Blood board for good.

While our post counts have been up for the duration of the final season, they have been declining as soon as the season was over. We have very few regular posters and as you know, :ff: rules require that we average at least 15 posts per day, to keep the board open. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think, we'd love to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest. To keep the board going, we need the commitment of our regular posters.

We still love the show, obviously, and the board too, it has been active until now, but we feel it's not right to only "survive" and post just because we have to stay above the weekly minimum.

Looking forward to hear your thoughts and suggestions :)

I'm sad to see this thread but at the same time I think maybe closing the board is the right thing to do.

I'd suggest doing one last rewatch but tbh, after the disappointing series finale & the last 4 seasons not being so great, I don't think I myself would be very interested in participating. Not anytime soon anyway. And something tells me others feel the same way.

Well, we don't necessarily have to do a whole series re-watch, we could limit it to the first 3 or 4 seasons, it's definitely a possibility :nod:

Re-watch is a good idea...excpet last time we tried it...before season 6 or whichever...we kinda just stopped somewhere in season 1.

I love this board. I do..but the counts have just kind of dwindled. We barely made minimum for a week and I'm not sure if we did the week before. I just don't want us to come up short for month and have a warning.

And I definitely don't want us to exist on the game/OT/1-3 discussion threads. :sigh:

Makes me sad that I had to start the thread but I was afraid of it when it was announced that s7 was the last.

I don't quite understand what happened to the viewers. I still think last season was fantastic! :shrug:

I think a lot of viewers were unhappy with the previous seasons and turned away :sigh:

Alot of people just weren't happy with the Billith story line and other stuff.

Billith was one of my favourite twists of all times on TB :lol:
