Hi, newbie, but a huge Eric/Sookie shipper. Until recently I was sort of a vicarious shipper through my mom, who read the books and would tell me all about them, and I latched onto the E/S-ness.

I'm kind of torn over the changes I've picked up on between show and book, because while I miss some of what was taken or changed and would have liked to have seen that onscreen, I enjoy the bantering and the passion (even if it's hatred right now). I know some people over at LJ are really freaking out (which I can understand), but I almost see it as a Spike/Buffy thing (even if you don't ship it, it still happened). Relationships on TV shows can evolve drastically, I've noticed. So I'm hoping that we'll get more E/S stuff as the season progresses.

I hope your right. A lot of us are displeased about what happening on the show. I'd feel at ease if AB just scrapped the books all together, rather than using them to pimp B/S. But I guess we'll see what happens as time goes on

I know a lot of people are a bit stressed out about what's going to happen, but that's true for every fandom. I think we're going to get PLENTY of great ES scenes this season.

I never saw that many scenes of S/B because I stopped watching when Dawn came, but from the clips I have seen they are the best to compare E/S too for sure.

The B/S comparison didn't hit me until reading some comments at one of the LJ communities after the last episode - and I felt like such a ditz for not thinking of them myself, and sooner.

Punkrocker: Welcome

Buffy/Spike: I never thought of the similarities but then again it makes sense because I love Buffy/Spike. Honestly, the first three seasons of the show I wasn't much of the fan. I don't think I have seen every episode. I only saw every episode after Spike became a regular in season 4. I love the dynamic of him and Buffy and that kept me interested in the show.

Well, as of right now I guess Sookie has a pretty good reason to hate him. But I have a feeling that will change throughout the season.

Yeah, I remember. It used to take us forever to finish a thread.

Sookie, has only seen one side of him. I think when she gets a chance to see the other she will realize that not everything is Black/White.

To be honest, I already compiled a bunch of quotes and excerpts from DUD. But that was an easy one because there is so little Eric in it! And I downloaded a fanfiction script, even though I am not a fanfic reader I know a lot of fans are.

So I think I am seriously considering doing the site. It's just going to take a lot time because I do a lot with my own site and Photoshop and general internet browsing and whatnot. Plus I am getting married on the 25th so I have that going. And I have a daughter. So maybe if I do it little by little...

The there is the whole issue with installing coppermine and wordpress and efiction and tweaking all the templates to match the rest of the site...

So don't hold me to it if I decide not to go through with it!
