Last season there was a fanatical devotion to Bill with a fringe group of lusty fans who fell hard for his mysterious charms. This season the tide has turned as more and more fans are seduced by Eric's many charms and pale good looks. Eric has been given some of the season's best lines ("And Pam, those were great pumps."). But it's more than just what is written for him that draws us into his intrigue, it's Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard's bone-dry and intensely comical delivery. He has given a life and a soul to Eric that is at once cold-hearted and deeply emotional. Eric may play at being the bad boy vampire, but inside he is still deeply human.
