Yes, it's truly amazing. She was afraid of him but she still chose to stay because he's her only family. And vice versa. I love how much Bill wants to save her.

Releasing didn't work, Jessica and Bill still care about each other just as much as before. Same with Eric and Pam, releasing had no effect!

Bill & Jessica's friendship or sire/siree bond quickly became one of my favorite things about the series. It was definitely one of the best and organic relationships. It may have started because he was forced to turn her into a vampire and be her ward (to protect her from herself and others) but they became genuine family. She trusts him and they care for each other so much. She didn't understand the world he came from (the 1800s, remorse for decades of killing) or know everything about his past but she respected him and his experience. And she was a breath of light to him.

Some would say that is what Sookie was to him but that relationship was so complicated. With his friendship with Jessica, he never had to worry that she would be disappointed in him or leave him for another man or any of the other issues his romantic life had.
