Does Joe Manganiello Think His Parents Should See What He Gets Up To In New True Blood? Joe Manganiello is going to be showing a lot of skin this summer with the return of “True Blood,” his film “Magic Mike,” and all the shirtless action in the already-released “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” but he’s not quite comfortable with his folks catching it all. “There’s some stuff that happens this season [in ‘True Blood’] that I’m not sure I want my parents to know that I do to other people,” he told AccessHollywood.com on the red carpet at Wednesdays “TB” premiere in Los Angeles. “But then again, I don’t know, ‘Magic Mike’ is full of that stuff too. It’s going to be a fun summer for mom and dad.” For the fans of “True Blood,” Season 5 is looking to be hot. A recently released trailer showed Joe’s character, Alcide, dangerously close to a lip-lock with Anna Paquin’s Sookie. Asked if fans will finally see the two characters get together, Joe said the upcoming episodes will provide an answer. “Oh wow, yeah, those trailers that are floating around on the internet – maybe it happens, maybe it doesn’t, maybe it’s a dream sequence, maybe it’s reality, I don’t know. You will get answers this season though,” he laughed. One thing Joe did set the record straight on is that Alcide is a stronger man following the death of “TB” pack leader Marcus, who his character killed last season. “Alcide’s pissed. He’s pissed he had to do that, but he’s in that situation and he’s not taking anybody’s crap anymore,” Joe insisted. “This season’s really a third act to a three act play and you are going to see his transformation into the big bad wolf this year.” It’s a big summer for the Pittsburgh-bred actor with “True Blood,” his memorable role in “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and the upcoming male stripper-themed film with Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey – “Magic Mike.” And Joe told Access that his “Magic Mike” role was not overlooked by his “TB” family. “The day I got to set to start filming Season 5, our producer and writer Brian Buckner, pointed at me and … started body rolling,” Joe laughed, recreating the move in front of Access’ cameras. “That one was for free. The rest cost dollar bills,” he added. “True Blood” premieres June 10 at 9 PM on HBO.
