Fringe is the series that made me start loving Sci-Fi. :D

I was a HUGE X-Files fan and when Fringe came out, my boss told me "You HAVE to watch this new series - you'll LOVE it." It was a few weeks into S1 and I watched Power Hungry. I wasn't terribly impressed (even now it's not an episode I watch too often).

Fast forward 4 years and my brother was watching a Christmas marathon of Fringe and that's when I got hooked. :)

I didn't watch The X-Files. I tried recently but the quality looked dated and I couldn't get into it. It's part of why I never can watch black & white films/shows. I saw the X-Files movie though and did enjoy it. :D

I watched them when I was very young.

Very few shows - especially those with any sort of technology or science - stand the test of time. When TXF came out, cellphones were still pretty unusual and smartphones hadn't really appeared yet. That in itself probably makes the show seem dated.

That makes sense. Just looking at older shows with the laptops they have you can tell roughly when they came out.

I was watching something the other day and one character sat down at one of the first old IBM PCs. It was weird.

Those were so huge .
