After a couple of discussions wound up in the OT thread for lack of a better place, I decided to start a new thread for General Discussion.

This is the place to discuss anything related to Fringe that doesn't fit on any other thread. That includes:
∙ Plot themes that cross over multiple episodes
∙ Discussions of character and cast interactions that go beyond the 'ship or individual character threads
∙ Cast appearances involving more than one cast member (ComicCon, etc)

Missing Episodes?

And I don't mean 'Unearthed'. However, I have finished the first season, ending with the appearance of William Bell. In the 1st episode of the second season I expected to see what happened, but it was just another unrelated episode. (I checked IMDB, but the episode titles are correct). So was there a special before the 2nd season started?
At the beginning of the 1st episode of the 2nd season ("previously") I didn't recognize anything. Also the second episode of the second season there were clips in the "previously" section that I didn't see in episode one of the 2nd season or any of the episodes of season one. Anyone who knows where the episode is where Olive talks with William Bell in the other realm and returns to our realm?

Resolved. Episodes were mixed up.

Awww. Fringe feels! :group_hug:

Fringe feels indeed!

This show is so truly special to me and I know people use the best tv show of all time statement but it's definitely in the top five for me.

The stories were both otherworldly but were also meaningful and true to real life while many episodes played on human emotion.

The character development on Fringe is some that you rarely see and the characters are just as important as the stories they're a part of.

It was a beautifully crafted show that was wonderfully spooky with amazing technical effects, yet they didn't sacrifice the basics of good storytelling for the sake of fancy effects.

Fringe is the series that made me start loving Sci-Fi. :D

FoxPhile 03-30-2018 04:13 PM

I was a HUGE X-Files fan and when Fringe came out, my boss told me "You HAVE to watch this new series - you'll LOVE it." It was a few weeks into S1 and I watched Power Hungry. I wasn't terribly impressed (even now it's not an episode I watch too often).

Fast forward 4 years and my brother was watching a Christmas marathon of Fringe and that's when I got hooked. :)

I didn't watch The X-Files. I tried recently but the quality looked dated and I couldn't get into it. It's part of why I never can watch black & white films/shows. I saw the X-Files movie though and did enjoy it. :D
