Is it Friday yet?

I was reading an article about a Fringe return - the article pretty much said there wasn't much chance. Both Anna and Kirk said they didn't think it was a good idea. Anna thought it wouldn't work well with the same actors because they are older and however they treated the characters, it would not meet the expectations of many fans. Kirk basically said the risk of it being bad is too great and to have a movie or a reboot flop or be horrible would taint the memory of the original.

How do folks here feel about this, really? I know we'd all love to see the show come back - but that's on the assumption that it would be just as good as the original. Do you think that's possible or likely?

Honestly my feelings for something like that swing on a pendulum. While I would love for our characters and their stories to return this show was just so special at pacing everything out and how it all happened for a reason. Like in the way of "The Event" sorta way. Everything we saw was planned out and for the most part wasn't just a throwaway bit, it was subtle at first but they brought elements back later that were just as important.

Shows like that you don't mess with regardless of how much you miss that universe. That passion and respect for the characters and the show overall is a good reason to not continue it. I was satisfied with the ending even if others weren't and it's fun to imagine what they're doing now or knowing the Fringe world what technology could have done by now.

I really don't think anything could capture the magic of the original and frankly I wouldn't expect nor want it to. I didn't mean to ramble this much, sorry

I actually loved the last season of a lot of those shows, especially True Blood, Heroes and Buffy

Fringe, The Mentalist, Lost and Sons of Anarchy. Sounds like whoever that was just wanted to rip on some shows that have a wide and extremely dedicated fanbase. Oh well, opinions.
