| Obsessed Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thank you for posting that enlargement! I couldn't get a good read from just pausing the show. How telling: "Stock Markets Closed - 21 Days and Counting" What in the world? And I do see now that's it JFK, although at quick glance it did look like Ted Kennedy. __________________ Avi by: some mad hope I just wanna live while I'm alive! It's my life! -Bon Jovi | |||

Maybe the NYSE was effected? And one of the producers explains the final scene and confirms it is in fact JFK: The Final Scene: What does it all mean? __________________ "Yeah, I guess I would consider myself fun and fearless." | Obsessed Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was driving around today and the very same notion occurred to me about the alternate reality of "The Planet of the Apes". I got the very same quirky feeling in my stomach seeing the Twin Towers last night as I did all those years ago watching PotA as the camera panned back to reveal the head of The Statue of Liberty on that beach. And here was Jeff Pinkner explaining the same twist! I'm curious to learn about what happened in the AU that didn't happen here... __________________ Avi by: some mad hope I just wanna live while I'm alive! It's my life! -Bon Jovi

| wow, i can't get over how incredibly brilliant this show is. now the happenings with Peter make more sense. i had a feeling that he had to at least be a clone because he never remembered any stories from his childhood. but did anyone else catch that part when Walter was saying that he lost something he loved and tried really hard to bring it back? he must have been talking about bringing the alternate Peter over to this reality! __________________ "Oh I see. So the AR is not necessarily better, just different. Interesting. I can't wait to go back and re-watch the whole season and look for clues! I deff agree that Walter seeing the other Walter in St. Claire's was his AR self. ![]() __________________ "But if we sing with Irish accents, maybe that will help." | |||

The last part where olivia was in the elevator and the door opened it reminded me of Angel where the elevator in Wolfram and Hart took you to another place ![]() __________________ "Aren't you evil." I think that theory's right on. ![]() Obviously something bad happened in Boston in the AR...the other Charlie mentioned half the city being in quarantine lockdown, and the fires Olivia saw looked like the type from massive rioting, not a natural disaster. Notice the other little headline in the paper? "Celtics sweep! Len Bias wins MVP" Len Bias was the college basketball player who died from a cocaine OD in 1986 right after being drafted by the Celtics... Also, the JFK headline makes it clear what the coin is: It's just a AR silver dollar, with something on it besides JFK's profile. ![]()

Walking Liberty Half Dollar They can be found in both realities I would imagine. I even have one myself. But, see, The Observer gave Walter the coin, shiny and new, as a way to remind him. He said it wasn't the same one that he was thinking of because the one that ThisReality!Peter owned was worn and dirty. Here's something that I've been thinking about... Olivia had to meet Nina at "Mutsumi Hotel on Broadway" in Manhattan. I don't know the area very well and I can't find anything for a Musumi Hotel online, but the WTC was located in Manhattan and near Broadway. I wonder if this alleged "hotel" is near the site of this realities WTC and thus, the 'soft spot' was nearby for them to 'suck Olivia' into their AR? __________________ "Yeah, I guess I would consider myself fun and fearless." | The New York Post only costs 25 cents in the Alternate Universe! Leonard Nimoy was sooo effective in the 30 seconds he was on! Liked how he smiled at Olivia. "I'm William Bell." Brilliant acting. And..what's also awesome? Barack Obama is President in the Alternate Universe!

| Well you know me with my late review after the episode came out. ![]() Anyways... All I can say is WOW, WOW, and WOW! OMFG! Seriously!? I am so...speechless, shocked and just....amazed. ![]() The endings are so huge OMFG! I am so serious! I was like O...M...G!!!!!! ![]() When Walter was standing by the grave, crying his eyes out a little bit by the beginning of the episode, I honestly thought that it was his wife dying because of the frame Peter picked it up at the beach house, and you could see the woman next to them, but he wiped Walter and him as a child, but not his mother so that just got me confused why he didn't clean her out too. But that's what I thought at first, but I would never never thought that it was Peter that he was grieving for. That's no wonder why he has connection with the observer because maybe he had something to do with this. I mean he obviously brought Peter back to him, so maybe that's why he had to owe him or something. That was a major shocker that's for sure. You guys already picked up on that it was Peter in the grave, but I didn't so. ![]() Olivia in WTC is so amazing! It was so surreal to see it on the screen. WTC being part of it is so amazing! I love it! ![]() That guy was so horrible to look at. That guy in bandage, ew. Just ew. I couldn't stand to look at him but you know how it's hard not to look away from that but urgh. I am so glad that he was dead. So we don't have to worry about seeing him again ever in season two. I am so bummered that Fringe is so DONE with season one. *sigh* That was so sad feeling when I saw it ended and I was like oh no I want it to continue but we have to wait for the whole damn summer to see them again! And the preview looked like they already have done most of season two. Hmm. Interesting. Here's to season two that we are dying to wait for! ![]() __________________ I saw you light the ballroom Graceful as an angel's wing ♥ Sam McCall ♥ | |||

![]() Just like in the His Dark Materials trilogy. There was supposedly going to be a war between the various dimensions. In the trilogy, Will (from our world) was destined to possess "the subtle knife" which was an instrument that would close up "windows" to other realities. The ending of the trilogy is very sad. I really hope that's not how Peter/Olivia end up. That's all I'm saying. Plus, the whole idea of an AU version of yourself could have been borrowed from Stephen King and Peter Straub's brilliant book, "The Talisman" which deals with "twinners". The book's protagonist, flipped over to the other world, but did not have "twinner". I think his "twinner" maybe have died. Just like how Peter doesn't have his "twinner" (from this world).
