Hadn't thought about Peter being a double agent or knowing about his past. That would be an interesting twist, because (at least to me) they seem to have foreshadowed things a little too much now. To figure it out, all you have to do is connect all the dots, and then come to the realization that on the other side there's another Walter Bishop, who is probably A) not insane, and B) pissed as hell that someone crossed over 30 years ago and stole his son away. Seems to me that would be enough reason to start a war. It would be fun if in the end we got the kind of thing they did on that original Star Trek episode, with the two Walter Bishops going at each other.

I never thought of it like that, that Walter and Bell crossing over DID cause the war. That's very possible, goo theory! I'm going to keep that in mind now this season.

With Peter's memory/dream, I'm absolutely convinced that we'll eventually find out that it's the AR Walter Bishop that's been driving the AR's technological push over the past couple decades, with the express purpose of getting his son back and punishing the ones responsible for taking him. Or maybe we'll find that Peter's abduction made the other Walter demented, too, only in more of an evil, destroy our whole side in revenge kind of way.

^Yup, I can definitely see that happening. And now we know (or are pretty sure anyway) that Olivia is the guardian of the gate between the realities. GAH this is getting so interesting! I can't wait till we get more info on this war. Bell needs to have a scene with Walter or Nina or something. That would be EPIC.
