OMG they had an X-Files episode on the tv and then reffrenced the X files on in the trial.

I used to love XF but become very disenchanted. Fringe IMO has more possibilities.

I am wondering what thjis mean in terms of Fringe relationship with pop culture.

WOW suchhhh an incredible episode. At first the show felt a little different, I guess with the new setting (Vancouver), and the new character, and Olivia not being (conscious) in the first 20 minutes of the show. But the last 40 minutes were amazingggggg. GAH I really missed this show.

Olivia flying out of that windshield was really cool. I knew when Walter got out something was going to happen, but DAYUM, I did NOT expect that. Really great effects.

And then Walter checking to see if Olivia was really dead, and then crying. GAH he's grown SO much since the Pilot. Caring for other people, and not believing she's dead until he himself can check her out. And then when Peter went into her room. I KNEW something was going to happen. I swear, Peter/Olivia have some kind of connection or SOMETHING when they are together. With the light switches in Ability, and how Peter calmed her in Bad Dreams, and then in this episode how she woke up when Peter was there (he was about to kiss her too it looked like!) There is deff something more between these two, and I don't mean "love". They HAVE to have some kind of connection when they are both together or something.

UHMMMM Bryoles Nina kiss WHAT?!?! Hopefully they go into THAT relationship this season. I mean we knew they talked, maybe even sondier them friends. BUT A KISS?! Jesus.

I just had to LOL when Liv was like "Go get that Bitch!" bahahah. Even weak and scared, Olivia can fight, DAYUM. you go girl!

Awww the Olivia/Charlie scene was so adorable. I really love these two as friends, so much. But NOW WTH. I SOOOO knew that shapeshifter took over Charlie when I saw the nurse was shot, because when Jessup shot her, it didn't effect her. OMG CHARLIE!!!!! I wanna cry. They have to find a way to bring him back, or they BETTER find out it's not him and effing KILL the shapeshifter. Poor Charlie.

I also liked the throwback to Walter and Belly's old experiment, and how Walter has become "suddenly" obsessed with Peter's childhood. I can see they are setting up that story already.

But all in all, GREAT episode. I loved it. I'm not sure how I feel about the new FBI agent yet, maybe she'll grow on me.

I liked it, but I had some problems. I don't like the new character, too much time was spent on Olivia being "gone" when everyone and their mothers knew that it was never going to happen. It was fake suspense, although I did like the reactions Peter, Walter and her sister had. She's the main character, though, so I hate when shows try to make it seem like they're in THAT much danger. And they telegraphed what was going to happen with Charlie, even though it was still a good reveal.

Other than those complaints, though, FRINGE IS BACK! Lots of character tonight, and there's no complaints about that. Lots of Peter/Olivia, lots of Peter/Walter, Charlie and Olivia's scene was purely about who they are as characters, and that was top notch stuff. Those three relationships were the core of the episode, so despite a few small complaints, the core of this episode rocked, and it's just the beginning, so it's going to get even better!

I'm going to miss Charlie, though. That scene with him and Olivia, though, was a great goodbye to the character, although we'll see his body walking around. He was so caring and genuine, and calling Olivia "kiddo" was adorable.

I'm just now watching it. Just a few minutes in and what do I see? Mulder! So I paused and raced over here to see if anyone else caught it.

Loved the X Files references: Mulder on the tv in the apartment, and the Government Panel saying "X". My possible theory...based on what the panel said to Broyles, is it possible the "X Division" became "Fringe Division"?

What a great episode overall! The action was fantastic, but the character scenes were even better! Some great Walter/Peter and Olivia/Peter scenes. And what was that Nina/Broyles kiss? I'm interested to learn what THAT was all about!

I'm not sure how I feel about the new girl though. She was alright, but nothing special. I want to show to stay focused on Peter/Walter/Olivia. I hope she is only a supporting character like Astrid or Charlie ().

Terrific season premiere!!!

Love that everybody's back! And Walter with his twisted but suuuch cute moments
Olivia/Peter - do i even need to say anything?

Don't know how i feel about that new female charachter( don't remember the name)
She was kida looking flirty with Peter in a way i think. I don't really like that to happen

So sad about Charlie !!!

Nina Broyles KISS? I was wtf and i still am.

My dad and I were saying the same thing!! Or maybe the X-Files Division exists with the Fringe Division. Hahah! In my happy thoughts that's what it is

Is it sad that I instantly recognized the episode that little clip was from? Cause I totally did

^^I feel ya on the episode having a different "feeling". But I kind of liked it. It was a bit more bleak and muted, which suits the show I think. Vancouver is great for the creepy atmospheric vibe.

Oh yeah, and a Nina/Broyles kiss WHA???!!!!!! I may have cringed just a bit but MAN I did NOT see that coming!

And maybe I'm in the minority, but I like Jessop. I think she'll be a nice addition to the team. Although I was more than happy with the Charlie-dynamic.
