I do. Which doesn't mean I think he's more intelligent than Walter. Clearly Walter knows more, has studied more and has more experience. However, Peter managed to have a science paper published without any formal studies, he is resourceful, he can do anything: from doing lab science to handle guns to fix anything broken, which Walter was never capable of doing.

If Peter had had a normal childhood and a formal education, he would have surpassed Walter and that's a fact.

I think Peter may be both more intelligent, as well as craftier, more ingenious and more resourceful. I'm not sure if more education would really have made Peter better. His sort of gut instinct smarts doesn't always benefit from education - and can, in fact, be stifled by formal schooling. But he is one of those people where you wonder what he might have achieved if, as a younger man, he had turned his abilities to something more worthwhile and more focused.

Which makes me wonder how Peter would have turned out if Blue Peter had never died and he had never been abducted by Walter.
