I'd love a scene with them relaxing in their living room, sharing a bottle of wine - or a couple of beers - and watching a movie.

... which would probably be interrupted by Walter calling from upstairs wondering if it was safe to come down!

How would you incorporate a scene like that into a storyline?

It doesn't necessarily have to be integral to the storyline. It's the sort of scene that can begin or end an episode. It can even be stuck in the middle when they think they've solved the latest mystery only to get a phone call...

Those sorts of scenes make a nice break from the tension.

You could put it literally at the end of any case/episode

Were Peter and Olivia actually legally married? I can't recall any references to them as husband and wife on the series. I know Olivia kept her maiden name in S5 however, Etta had the Bishop name.
