One thing I still wonder and I'm not sure if it was addressed on the show is why did John told Olivia in the Pilot to ask herself why Broyles sent her

That was never addressed because it probably was when they decided in favour of another SL. Broyles and Nina were quite dubious, they has those conversations and had a special interest in Olivia. Then they changed the SL.

For some time I thought Broyles wanted to see Olicia get injured instead of John But he ended up asking gee to go and work for him!

Olivia was "the chosen one."

So then in the original SL Broyles knew about her Cortexiphan history?

I think he did. Or at least he knew there was something going on. He talked to Nina. I'm sure they talked about her.

I think it would have been more interesting if Nina and Broyles had known the truth about Olivia all along. Too bad the writers changed this.
