I'm wondering if Evil!Charlie is having side effects like Robert David Jones did? The whole alternate dimension traveling thing really takes its toll on a body.

But Jones didn't travel through the dimensions. He did that space travel thing and was broken down and reassembled on an atomic level.

^True. But Walter said traveling through the realities has side effects, he told Olivia that last ep. I think that's what Liv's supersonic hearing is from, but perhaps the shapeshifter wasn't so lucky ...

^I actually had this momentary thought that maybe Bell did something to Olivia while she was in the alternate universe. Maybe awaken a bit of the cortexiphan potential or something.

But that's just me throwing random stuff out there

Has anyone posted the ratings yet?

I know it's late but want to say that last episode was pretty good! I love it!

I love the original three-group, yayz! Thank god that new agent wasn't in it, but was on for at least 10 minutes or so. But anyways, gotta love how Peter and Olivia worked together to find out what's behind the missing people. Not to mention how Peter was so taking care of her, and that was adorable.

Walter at the scene was hilarious with his comments and he totally took it so lightly, unlike everybody else. That was hilarious.

Most touching part was when Peter was talking about fishing and the boy, of course he was talking about himself, but Walter couldn't tell from it but tagged himself along since he obviously wanted to join with them, so that was pretty nice moment. I love father/son bonding right there. Seems like Peter's dreams are coming true, lol.

Olivia must have special sense that she can hear every little tiny sound everywhere surrounded her so I wonder if that's what she got from her accident? Hmm!

I was hoping they would fix Charlie but apparently not. *sigh* I wonder to myself that if Charlie get exposed, will they kill him off or fix him up? I hope for latter part, so yeah.

Pretty much that episode was good because I started to feel like original season one, classical season. Love it! Hope they keep up with those episodes like that.

Oh yeah, that's another idea too! I guess we'll see what really happened in the episode when the conversation between Olivia and Bell is finally finished!

And Little Stewie, I think someone posted the ratings on the other page, 5.9 mil =/. Not as good as it usually does. But it was also the premiere of Grey's and SUV (I think) that night. Plus Fringe is in a tougher timeslot this year. Hopefully it does better in the coming weeks.

some food for thought from the Fringepedia: Night Of Desirable Objects - Fringepedia FRINGE Wiki

Recurring Themes
Genetic Engineering. Manipulation of fetal DNA to produce genetically-modified off-spring, as in The Same Old Story.
Transmogrification. Transgenetic mutation into hybrid form, as in The Transformation, Unleashed and Midnight.
Red and Green. Agent Amy Jessup opens a cabinet in Hughes' house to find a bible lying next to a red candle and a green candle.
Cultural References
LOST. All of the infamous "Numbers" from fellow-Bad Robot Production LOST (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42) appear throughout the episode. The number 42 is seen on the bulldozer at the beginning of the episode, Walter tells Peter that he will have to use the bathroom in 23 minutes, the number 16 is on the Bowling alley neon sign, Sam Weiss tells Olivia she has only 15 minutes to bowl before he closes and guesses her shoe to be size-8, and the opening sequence radio show announcer was offering to give away 4 Pairs of tickets to the first 4 callers.
Back To The Future. The experiment that Astrid and Walter are working on with the car and frog mimics the experiment Doctor Emmett Brown (i.e. Doc) used in the movie Back to the Future to illustrating how a Delorean car would/could travel back in time.
Previously:
From the accident scene (A New Day In The Old Town), the fictional name on the signage in front of the building is GRUNO & DUNDER, a concise anagram for UNDERGROUND, foreshadowing the main theme of the plot in Night Of Desirable Objects.

Interesting stuff there.

"Just looking for the hidden ninja sword."
"That wasn't covered by insurance."
