I think it's interesting to note that the three main characters have each now experienced "The Other Side".

IMHO it was a so-so episode. I'm not to big on the stand alone episodes. No real involvement with the Pattern or Alternate Realties, the two things that make Fringe so great. The most watchable scenes dealt with Evil Charlie. I wonder if Olivia really does "completely trusts him," as he typed.

Tonight's episode seemed like an episode from early last season (plus a little slower paced.) Next weeks episode looks awesome though! Peter and Olivia in Iraq. The last time they were there was in the pilot!

^ I'm romance-biased, I'm afraid. Between all the eye-pulling and monster chasing, all I'm looking for is together time for Peter and Olivia.

Great to see John Savage in the role of Dr. Hughes. I thought I recognized him!

It was a good episode imo I hoped we had more intense P/O but i'm kinda fine with everything we get. The case was very interesting and it's incredible how the writers always come up with something new

Just watch the episode on line. For an episode that broke from the main plot this was really fun. The monster of the week was kind reminded me of Spider Babies and The Fly, but just enough difference to keep it intersting. Also I think it is good for the show that they have cases where they think they arefollowing the pattern but come across something equally strange. It would be kind of stretching it to have everything be in the pattern, and if one thing is not that

Besides it allowed the focus to be on personal drama instead. The main plot parralelled the Peter Walter situation but it did not deal with it directly. I do think that once Peter learns he is from an alternate universe he might talk about it. But I liked how it seemed to motivate him to take his dad fishing.

Peter and Olivia's relationship is so special. I never shipped Mulder and Scully so I am a little surprised by how much I dig the way Peter and Olivia relate. Also Olivia's new hearing powers is such a cool effect. Much better than straight to headaches and nose bleeds of doom.

Have you guys seen the numbers for last night's Fringe? With the Grey's premiere on, Fringe only had 5.9 million viewers. That's make me very worried about its future! I wish they would move it back to Tuesday which is a less crowded night.

It might go up slightly in coming weeks since the season premieres (like for Greys and CSI) are generally the highest rated shows of the season.

Yikes. Well, we knew it would be a tight race on Thurs nights. It used to draw in 9.4-9.8 million viewers, but it is down almost half its viewership I'd say.

It was such a yummy ep once again. I can't wait for all the shiz to drop about Olivia's trip to the other world and her "special" abilities. It's just so awesome.

Ehh I agree. I like the episodes dealing with The Pattern best. But I do like the stand alone episodes too. They are what make Fringe different from the other shows, that you can tune in and watch from time to time and still know what's going on. But next week does look interesting. Can't wait!

I agree about the Evil Charlie scenes. Evil Charlie is more interesting than the P/O "X-File" stuff.

I did like the scene with Olivia at the bowling ally.

I wonder if Evil Charlie was feeling a little sick in the abdomen because he didn't have his shapeshifting device? And I suppose the senate panel didn't shut down the Fringe Division after all! (like we knew they wouldn't, LOL!!)

^He doesn't seem too concerned with it now, probably because he's more focused on Olivia and her trip to the parallel universe. I bet once Liv and the Fringe gang find out he's not Charlie though, he's gonna wish he didn't leave his device on the floor and all.
