Episode 1.18: "Midnight"

A KILLER THIRST FOR SPINAL CORD FLUID LEAKS INTEL OF A LARGER THREAT "FRINGE" TUESDAY, APRIL 28, ON FOX

The Fringe Division is on the case when severely mutilated bodies drained of spinal cord fluid begin to pile up. After their investigation leads them to a scientist (guest star Jefferson Mays) with possible ties to the Z.F.T. bioterrorist cell, they are shocked to discover the identity and motive of the killer. When the kills occur with increasing frequency, Olivia, Peter and Walter go to desperate lengths to stop them in the all-new "Midnight" episode of FRINGE airing Tuesday, April 28 (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. This episode was pretty good. Not as good as last weeks though. I think I expected the episode to be different based on the promo. And I wasn't too shocked about Bell being behind ZFT. I kind of had a feeling all long he wasn't this great guy Massive Dynamic made him out to be.

I LOVED Walter tonight, he was so funny as usual. The scene with the cookies when Peter was like "I don't think they want cookies." And the officer took one. And Walter was like "Apparently you're wrong."

I really liked his scene with Boone too, about redemption for what they created.I loved the P/O scene in the car too, with the siren. Peter was like LEGIT so excited to play with that thing.

A great episode indeed. But I don't think it had the "WOW" factor like'' Bad Dreams' had for me.

At least there was a hint of what Peter was working on which we saw in Unleashed.

So, Walter points out a little blip to sit in the back of our minds about Peter...interesting.

This wasn't as great as last weeks, but I think it was a tie in to connect more to ZFT.

I'm curious what other names were given on that tape? Of course, William Bell, but no sign of Jones? And I think Broyles realizes that he's barked up the wrong tree with being in connection to MD. It's a little too messed up for him and he's sooo anti-terrorism.

I wasn't as excited about this particular 'villain'. It just didn't have enough umph. But, it did allow for some fun Olivia and Peter interaction.

I was glad that the "villain" turned out to be not a villain at all. Here we're seeing that respected scientists and regular folk (like his wife) are getting completely swept up in the machinations of ZFT.

I really liked this episode. It had more of a search and rescue feel to it rather than some random psycho killing for his art. Ick.

Peter was such a hero!! Loved how he saved Olivia, shot Valerie and STILL drove that car with the siren blaring. And he had the best lines too!

"Walter's believe-it-or-not Emporium"
"No, it's just Maco. You know, like Cher."
"You're definitely hot. But... I'm looking for someone with syphilis."

And as far as I can determine, the glyphs spelled out: EIGHT.
