It's next week. Things are getting better. I'm able to get around in the house well enough to cook and do laundry and such. But not well enough to risk going out anywhere yet.

This is new. I was always very happy that I didn't have any back issues, but now I do.

If you've heard about the turkey shortage, it's true. Went to Walmart today to get ours and where you would expect to see freezers brimming with birds, they had no frozen ones that were less than 20 pounds. We got the smallest fresh one we could find, and that was 12 pounds. And this from the state that is second in the US in production of turkeys.

I read that North Carolina is tightening its mask mandate starting tomorrow, to make clear that everyone needs to wear a face covering whenever they are with someone not from the same household, and whenever they are in any public indoor space even when maintaining distance.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is discouraging people from gathering for Thanksgiving due to the Covid surge.
