It was in the 50s today and all the snow we had mentales!
Only to find out we're gonna get freezing rain and 20 degree temps at the highest __________________

Southern Michigan Three or so hours to the Michigan/Indiana border
I'd love to move somewhere warm but that would actually require being able to afford it __________________

Somewhere in either South Carolina or Tennessee South Carolina is absolutely beautiful almost year round, so preferably there.
All I really ever need is at least 50 degree weather with occasional wind storms and that's it. I do like thunderstorms, though. __________________

South Carolina it really depends on where you are. In the East, near the coast it rarely gets really cold, but summers are hot and very humid. Back in the 1700s people who came to South Carolina from England often couldn't adapt to the weather and got quite sick, as it's almost tropical but without the breezes that keep tropical islands tolerable. In the middle and western parts it still doesn't get very cold; winter temps almost never go below freezing. The summers are still quite hot, but not as humid as on the coast. I have friends who spent Christmas in South Carolina and were amazed that it snowed for the first time in many years. But the snow was all gone the next day.

The Southeastern US can be pretty brutal in the summer. I think it's okay if you're born and grow up there. In mild winters you can actually go to the beach in South Carolina and you may get temps in the 70s or even 80s (mid to upper 20s Celsius).

I grew up in the cold and get miserable enough in the whipping winds that I'll gladly take hot and sweaty over anything else
