It is still cold in the North West of England, but the forecast is for warmer weather by the end of the week. The last time they said that the wind changed and we got very cold weather from the North including snow, hail and frost! I will be going back to the North East later in the month so will see the state of the blossom and whether there will be plum jam in the autumn.

We are now in the midst of the spring storm season. We had some intense thunder storms last night and some areas got hail the size of baseballs. Fortunately I missed that part.

It has finally got a bit warmer, and finer. We had a lovely day today.
I feel really sorry for the Canadian people of Alberta especially the folks of Fort McMurray. The forest fires must be terrifying and losing your home never mind your whole town must be horrific. |

It's hard to imagine an entire town being destroyed by fire. And it's not tiny - the population is over 60K.

Thank goodness. It's also been reported that 90% of the city survived, so hopefully the majority of those folks will have something to return to. Of course, many will not.
Fortunately no one died in the fire, although there were two deaths in a traffic accident during the evacuation. __________________

The weather is very warm at the moment and if it carries on I will get some pretty flowers for my pots, and brighten up the garden.
