I would like a week off from cooking, clothes washing and ironing. I feel like I spend all day cooking and when one meal is finished starting to prepare for the next one. It doesn't help that we all eat at different times.

At least you can take a certain pride that you still cook. I know a lot of families that either go out, get take out, or have frozen dinners all the time. Except for the microwave, they really don't need a kitchen at all.

My son has gone from eating a very restricted diet because he wouldn't try anything new to trying vegetables, curries, chillies roast dinners etc. I have to cook meals for him to heat up at work, he doesn't want ready meals he wants healthy home cooking! He is even playing football (soccer) with some guys from work and is training for a half marathon which is next Summer in Liverpool. My husband has always eaten healthily. We eat out every so often but hardly ever get take out food, I tend to cook from scratch. Luckily stir fry vegetables and sauce come ready made so I just have to cook them, rather than chopping veg and making the sauces from scratch. I often do roast dinners as it is more economical to buy a chicken or joint of meat between 3 than getting separate portions.
