"The Cure" (1.06) Episode Discussion
"The Cure" The CURE FOR RARE DISEASE MAKES PATIENTS RADIOACTIVE ON “FRINGE” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21, ON FOX After weeks of being reported missing, a woman with a rare disease resurfaces in suburban Massachusetts and inexplicably causes excruciating pain and subsequent death to those she encounters. As the gruesome scene is investigated, dangerous levels of radiation are detected, and unusual circumstances surrounding the case point to illegal human drug trials and possibly something even more sinister. Meanwhile, Walter obsesses about cotton candy, Peter strikes a bargain with Nina Sharp and a startling piece of Olivia’s past is revealed in the all-new “The Cure” episode of FRINGE airing Tuesday, Oct. 21 (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Thanks for the thread Shanna
Only Walter would want Onion Soup after seeing boiled brains Is it me or does that older lady with the blonde hair look kind of like Olivia? __________________

Well I can be first to comment about tonight.
Wow, what an intense episode so far! I love how Walter talks so silly things to Peter and Olivia. When they were leaving for their investigation, only thing Walter could think of is cotton candy, onion soup, and etc. He really makes me laugh like no other. I love him! I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee how Olivia finally opens up to Peter since nobody seems to notice she had a bad day today, but Peter was one who recongized her right away and asked her about it. It's like he could read her like a book, and she finally opened up to him. I am so super happy about that! Andd the end with him saying happy birthday is the best way to end that. I just kinda wish that he would invite her over for dinner or something but I know they are just friends for now but I sense their closeness when they looked at each other in eyes and then of course she stood up from it. I sense something is def going on between them. Olivia/Claire's conversation was very intense. I was on the edge of my seat, watching and hoping that things would go her way. It was very great intense scene, I tell ya. One more thing, am I only one who think the card might be from John? I know that he was in her head but last few episodes showed him being alive so I wonder if he was one who sent the card rather than her stepfather. So far the episode tonight is the best like the most of episodes. Me likely. |

I love Walter Just love him. "I want some cotton candy....but NOT the pink kind." Oh he is such a funny man.
I really want to know what the redheaded woman (her name escapes me) is up to!! And the Pattern. Gah, I want to know it all!!! Was any one else scared when Olivia got home & she opened the birthday card? Everyone I was watching with, included myself, was screaming. I hate needles and blood and explosion of body parts so this episode was scary for me I thought it was interesting but I found it very disturbing. especially when Peter was talking about how everything they encounter has to do with human guneia pigs.. Hmm... he may be onto something Did anyone else notice that Olivia didn't "see" John this episode? It was really annoying me cause it was a big issue last week and the week before (a little bit) & now it was GONE?!! I hope it comes back. also...we have to wait 3 weeks? arghh!!!!! __________________
