They did a good job of representing the elements of the show - science, mystery, resistance to oppression, and the fact that the principles were all badasses in their own ways.

Yeah they did I love how they took special care into making the science as accurate as possibly while still making the show show much more than just about that

It looks like fan art but I'm pretty sure I've seen the shot of them on the escalator somewhere else, so it could be a mix.

I always LOVED the Fringe posters

Yeah they were crazy good at promoting, so much so I still don't know why the show never took off. Even after people learned about it through Netflix/Hulu it's still relatively unknown

It's science fiction. The genre has been notoriously maligned by critics and ridiculed by the public. People who like sci fi are still seen as "geeks" by a lot of folks - even though it's become cooler to be a geek. A lot of folks who do enjoy sci fi treat it as a guilty pleasure - they don't like to admit they like it.
