not when you are talking Grandmas hair. They get the wash and then the curlers and the set and dry and then the style - all that and it really doesn't look much different than they went in. It's an outing for them too.

In the prime universe, U.S. senator James Van Horn (Gerard Plunkett) is hospitalised following a car accident. After Newton arrives and shoots him in the face, Broyles discovers Van Horn was in fact a shapeshifter, who collected data on Fringe Division. Walter discovers that Van Horn is still alive at some degree and has another "brain" in his back. Later, Fauxlivia and Peter capture Newton following a car chase. Knowing it may blow her cover, Fauxlivia visits him and gives him a suicide pill that causes him to bleed out mercury. In the end, Fauxlivia invites Peter to her home and sleeps with him in an attempt to draw his attention away from his growing suspicion that something is not right with her.

I love Justyne's take on Grandma hair styling. Not so much now, most grandma's I know are quite trendy and usually have coloured hair styled and blow-dried. (even the older ones).

Peter and Olivia on a date. Too bad it's not the right Olivia. But I do love them engaging in people-watching.

I love how this show can inject comedy into the oddest situations.

Peter makes the parallel between Patricia Van Horn and himself - between who he now suspects is "Fauxlivia" and the Senator. I don't think he realizes that Fauxlivia isn't a shapeshifter, although since he has met the Olivia from the other side, perhaps he does know it's her. The curious thing is that he continues to work with her. Is it possible he still wants to believe this is "his" Olivia - just changed from her experiences?

Newton definitely has a problem with anyone who exhibits emotion - be they shapeshifter or human. But it's interesting to know that shapeshifters can still be affected by their emotions. Even if that means Newton thinks they are flawed.

I don't think Peter really suspects Olivia is not who she says she is, but he may have an underlying feeling about her as Newton predicts - after all when a stranger rings him up a few weeks later he is suspicious straight away and probably puts two and two together while he is lying in bed waiting for her to be in a deep sleep.

Newton is a shapeshifter who is fiercely loyal to The Secretary and is jealous of anyone who he thinks is closer to the Secretary than he is. Also I think he remembers his disdain for Olivia and thinks if one Olivia is weak then the other will be too. Also I think he thinks that he is supreme and no-one can do the job as well as himself.

I really enjoy this episode more than I did when I first saw it. As I've said before I didn't like the episodes with Fauxlivia over here but they have grown on me. This one shows her to be more human and sympathetic to the people over here than to Newton, the shapeshifter from her world.

I forgot to mention in my previous post that Van Horn is called James or Jim in this episode and I am sure he was Dennis in Earthling, the Season 2 episode he first appeared in.

Does anyone else have any thoughts about this?
