Yep. Daddy issues. Same with Peter.
Her stepdad was abusive, his was pretty much absent throughout his life.
She understands him. She thinks he underestimates Walter but she gets it.
They get each other. Ring a bell?

Liv is not the person to share a lot. Charlie knows but he is her partner from way back in the day. She trusted Peter with this info very very soon, don't you think?

There is really something special there.

I love how the show also has this good/bad theme. And kinda destiny too.

"I'll see you in the morning" love how their convo's always end with that.

There is a lot of JK in the characters too imo. Only the sexes are reversed

Liv is like Jack. She is the leader. She was reluctant at first but when she made her decision it was final. She beats herself up a lot. She isn't exactly the happiest person in the world but she does seem more comfortable with Peter, just like Jack felt with Kate early on. She has a kind heart but if you frak her up, she will get you. She is emotional, compassionate and caring. But she won't easily let someone be like that with her. It's like she has to do everything alone, she doesn't care about her own safety, just that of others.

Peter is more chilled out, he likes to have fun, like Kate. He can be a goof but there is this edge to him that makes you feel that he would turn on you to protect himself or the ones he loves. He is loyal and caring and he lets her know that she doesn't have to do anything by herself. He felt her immediately, he knows what she is about, so he does the comforting most of the time. He has had a hard life too but he can be more expressive with his feelings than her. He led the life of a nomad, not really belonging anywhere until he met Olivia. He stopped running then and while he did want to leave later on-much like Kate late s1 with the raft-because of personal issues, he eventually stayed.

And trust. Big plus/JK resemblance there.

Also you'll see that Olivia gets jealous exactly like Jack did in s1

Only their past is kinda combinated, and reversed. She's a bit like Kate there and he a bit like Jack.

But yes. When Peter said "You know me long enough to know that I'm not good at sticking around in one place for very long" I was all: He's such a Kate.

Remember Jack's "Do you?" and his look when Kate said Sawyer says they share a connection? That faint smile like nothing's wrong? And Outlaws kind of look? You could cut his head and place it on Liv's neck
