Frankly, I'm surprised you're still alive.

OMG! Fringe was phenomenal tonight! Tbqh, I wasn't really looking forward to this episode because other than the PO hug from the previews, I wasn't expect much. The "bad dreams" becoming real plot has been done a thousand times over...but boy did they surprise me. I think this is my favorite episode ever of Fringe. So much stuff in this one episode.

Highlights:

*Peter/Olivia! SQUEE!!! The face cupping! Hugging! Handholding! Back touch! This is the shipperiest episode of Fringe ever! LOOVES IT!!!

*Walter going from dead serious to freaking hilarious in a matter of seconds all throughout the episode! LOL.

*Peter, Charlie, and Agents Broyles just being their awesome selves.

*The pseudo-lesbian twist with Olivia/the stripper. JJ Abrams is very kinky. LOL!

*The plot twist. I figured it was probably going to be an empath about halfway through the episodes, but loved how this was "Olive's" partner in the drug trials testing. I hope Nick comes back later and helps his Olive. That would be super cute. I wonder how many more are out there though.

*The whole preparing chosen people for a war between parallel universes reminds me SO much of the His Dark Materials trilogy. On that note, I wonder when dark matter will be brought up.

*Oh! I totally caught the Observer walking across the screen at about 48 minutes after the hour. I definitely feel some kind of sense of achievement that I spotted him.

*The ending! Whoa did not see that coming. Walter definitely remembers more than he lets on.

Next week: Missing Person with a twist!

HOLY. I don't even know where to start. This was DEFINITELY one of my favorite episodes of Fringe. The P/O stuff was SQUEEEE. Like for reals, I thought the hug was going to be it. But NOPE! We get a cupped face before the hug, handing holding, and a back touch, aside from the cuteness of the two of them solving the crime together.

I'm with Susan, I thought Nick was going to be an Empath for the better part of the episode, but this is one of the reasons I LOVE this show. It's all stuff you've seen or heard of before but with a new twist. It's not the usual way of handling these odd situations. I'm always surprised, and I love that. I really liked the Nick and 'Olive' thing too. I'm curious to know more about it. I hope Nick comes back too, I feel like this storyline between them is definitely unfinished. HOLY COW the end. At first I thought Walter was looking for Nick's tape. But neg man, he had Olive's! Like

I thought the lesbian scene was funny because in Australia, Anna was on a show where she played a lesbian. This must have been like home territory for her.

Can't wait for next week!

Excellent, excellent episode tonight!

This one was very thought provoking and really sent the storyline of Olivia and all that is connected to the Bishops.

One has to wonder if Peter had some of this done to him, too.

I love that they dubbed Leonard Nimoy's voice in the tape. I love continuity!

Next week looks even more exciting!

Agreed. I said this on the P/O thread, but I think it's a possibility Peter was experimented on with the Cortexifan (sp?) as well. If he was, I don't think it would have been in the trials like Olivia and Nick were. Walter prob just treated him with it at their house or something.

Leonard Nimoy's voice on Fringe was worth the price of admission.

Who thinks that it was Mr. Jones that "activated" Nick Lane?

Ooooh, good question, Mandy. Thing is, what did Nick's activation actually serve? Just that it's possible to activate the recruits? Was he actually trying to kill himself all those times, but the empathetic followers got in the way and acted on those feelings? A very curious episode.

Who is going to activate Olivia and Peter? And when? It's obvious Olivia has kept up her training, but Peter really hasn't.

Maybe she's already been activated when Mr. Jones kidnapped her?

And wasn't that Nina Sharp's voice on the VHS tape that Walter was watching?

I totally thought it was Nina's voice too!! Definitely a woman.

I think the person who activated Nick was William Bell. I don't recall Jones wearing glasses.
