Not really. We had shows like Charlie's Angels and Police Woman starring Angie Dickinson back then. Plus we just lost Peggy Lipton from the Mod Squad. All those shows reflected the times.

Yes, we had those shows. But they were a reflection that women were beginning to break into those roles. Oddly, prostitution was a driving force in getting more women in law enforcement - to act undercover. We needed the sexual revolution of the 60s to allow police departments to ask women to even pretend to be prostitutes.

I'm not sure if we'll see her in the field, they're interviewing serial killer which the majority of their victims were woman so I'm guessing having a woman in the room could be a trigger

That's a good point. But since she is the psychologist, I can also see her insisting that she needs to have direct access.

In the field doesn't necessarily mean interviewing killers. They also visit crime scenes. She may want to get first-hand information from the scenes or bodies.
