Netflix talk about how the numbers between seasons drop so much for some of their shows and this is why. Wait even a year and people either forget or move on completely

It's definitely a big problem. I've lost interest in a number of Netflix shows because there were long hiatuses between seasons and the premiere dates of new seasons were so uncertain. They really need to get their act together better if they want to have any long-running shows - but maybe they don't care.

Maybe splitting each season into two halves might be a better idea? They have done that with a couple of shows already
