BIO
Anna Torv was born April 15, 1978 in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts in 2001. Since graduating Anna has performed on stage with the Bell Shakespeare Company.She soon landed her first role on television, cast as the character Irena Nedov on the Australian TV Series Young Lions. Her big break came when she was cast in the BBC series Mistresses, where she plays Alex for one season. It was her performance here that led her to being discovered by J.J. Abrams, creator of the Emmy Award-winning series Lost. Torv was cast as Olivia Dunham, the lead role in Abrams’ science fiction drama Fringe. Her character is that of a young but tough FBI agent who is forced to face the unexplained phenomena of her work with Dr. Walter Bishop, played by John Noble and his son Peter Bishop, played by Joshua Jackson.

I really hope to see something more about her past. I'd like to know who her mom was and to know a little more about her childhood. Other things i'm really interested in are the experiments WWs took on her Liv when she was little and i would like to see Olivia go to the Alternative!Reality again. :D

Awww Liv was so cute tonight, caring about that lady's daughter and husband. She was gonna find them if it was the last thing she did. And her eyes were really green tonight too!

Sibel, I'm with you on wanting to learn more about Olivia's past. Especially her step-father. And YESS the cortexiphan experiments! We haven't heard about them in a while, but they are definitely an integral part of the show. And YES to her going to the AR again. I kinda want her to see herself in the AR too. Oh, and I would like more scenes between Nina and Liv. They have this weird connection and I really enjoy Blair and Anna on screen together.

I agree, I always like to know more about a character's past and what made them who they are.

Olivia was awesome! I like her more and more every episode. :love: She was such a cutie with that chinese little girl. :sigh:

Agreed with you both, Shan and Mel. I woud love to see Olivia meeting herself in the AR, that Olivia could be a lot different from the one we know. Talking about the experiments, i'd like to find out if Olivia has other special abilities and why she was chosen to be part of the project. Knowing more about people' past is the best thing, 'cause only knowing what happened in the past you can understand why people are what they are.

I want to know more about the 'guardian of the gate' thing. Because Bell made it seem like that was Olivia's job, and we know she'd be able to do it. And how Bell said that she would need Peter, I bet he's gonna end up helping her in some way. I really just want to know more about the war and the AR and Olivia's role in both things. I figure we're not gonna get answers to this right away, but eventually. She's deff a key part of both. OHH and I want to know (if the Observer was talking about Olivia) what he meant when he said things were going to get hard for her.

Erica_85, thanks for the video! And Melika, I agree. I don't think Olivia knows the extent of her true ability yet, or even what her true abilities are. I can't wait to find out more about that.

I sometimes wonder if the writers are even aware of Olivia's abilities! :lol:
