The episode is pretty good and I like it very much.

I got a feeling that Walter must be one to write the books since he read it and typed the similiar thing so I thought maybe he made those stuff. Hmm.

I smiled when Peter walked to be with her when Olivia was trying to stop the whole killing innocent people thing and he was still there in her background, made me so smile! He wouldn't let her die alone or leave her behind like that. So nice of him!

Well, I remember ZFT was first seen as an Easter Egg in The Cure. Look closely on the thermometer.

Then, in In Which We Meet Mr. Jones, Olivia and Astrid figured out it was part of a code using Caesar's Shift - a very ancient but very simple letter-shifting encryption code. You'll see the letters "ZF" on the right side of the sheet of paper, then the circled "T" in the top right corner.

I think Jones knows more than he's letting on. Maybe somehow he knows that Peter likes Liv, maybe he has connections with Peter, Walter or Astrid, maybe he is omniscient. Somehow, he made sure Peter went with Liv to the apartment or whatever and knew he wouldn't leave her to die, but to at least be there with her.

Sorry, I do not like the fact that Olivia might be 'special'......this might end up being a big turn-off for me.

I'm sorry for you're concern about this latest turn of events. Olivia being "special", I'm sure was the plan and the outline from the very beginning. We have to know why these three people were brought together now. It certainly couldn't simply be coincidence.

The story seems to be that The Pattern has been going on for many, many years, and now the collision of common factors is bringing The Pattern to a fruition that many people have been waiting for for a long time.

Hi all, I'm new here but totally am into Fringe.

My theories are this: Peter is one of Walter's Experiments (clone, mind manipulation, what have you) Olivia is special and is a part of the experiment in some way, Walter is William Bell.

Just a few of my ideas. Feel free to shoot them down if you want.

Given JJ Abrams style, I dont think any of these theories are far fetched.

The cute curly haired lab sassistant of Walter could be a Bell plant definately.

We can't forget that Olivia's "father" is really her stepfather, a no-good abusive man. It's possible he allowed experimentation to take place on a little 3-year-old Olivia for money.

And as I've said before, I do not question that Peter was manipulated as well. As they are both about the same age, Peter and Olivia were likely unwitting subjects in a long-term experiment. As to whether or not the experiment's observations (The Observer!) are on-going, or if the experiment was abandoned due to the chief scientists becoming institutionalized (Walter) and/or going into in seclusion via private entrepreneurship (Bell), we will have to see.

I think the experiements were abandoned only on a superficial level to appease the government or watchdog agencies, but that a plan was put into action to continue monitoring Peter and Olivia, and any other subjects at a sub-surface or underground level.
