Actually I just started watching Fringe last summer so I've only been through 1 hiatus We'll see how I do this time.

I think she will remember him, much like she did when she was Over There. Olivia loves Peter and they have such a deep connection. She will bring him back

They have showed us PO in the future; now we need to know how they got there. I honestly don't want to have the PO relationship as the main focus, but now just because they've showed us how things could be for them, I also don't want them to neglect the relationship. I trust they won't because more than once they've said they belong together.

Cheer up That will never happen. I don’t know what’s going to happen but they’ve always said that PO belong together and I’m sure that’s what we’ll get. It will be a tough ride and I’m sure it won’t involve a Peter hologram.

Replacing Peter with Lincoln would be horrible ... I can't imagine them doing that. Peter must come back!! Sofia I agree with you ... I don't want it to take over the show or be pushed to the back burner.

They are genius writers though so I'm trying to have faith!!

^ I agree. Fringe is based on Olivia/Peter/Walter. Thus, he can't be so easily replaced or excluded from the story. He will come back b/c he ties everything together. Peter's story is far from over. It's just beginning.

Well, the producers said in an interview that Peter being in the wrong universe (ours) displaced Blue Lincoln from what he was supposed to be doing. (This was back during "The Firefly," I think) In Redverse, where Peter should have been but was not, Lincoln and Charlie and Olivia worked together in Fringe division.

If Peter is gone, it stands to reason that that void would be filled with Lincoln, at least as Olivia's partner, if not new love interest. I will not be surprised in the least if Olivia doesn't have a new partner next fall and if it's not Lincoln.

We know that JJ/Peter will be back, sometime, somehow....but that will take time. This finale was called a "game changer," and it certainly is.

Also, a writer for next season (Orci's brother?) said not to blame him for PO. I'm wondering now if that translates, "Don't blame me for what happens to PO."

We'll see. It was an awful lot of screentime building up PO to drop them now; but then, this is Fringe. Anything can happen.

I think the best advice is "Don't freak out." I wasn't a fan of the show when it happened, but I remember reading how fans of the show Farscape were in total freak mode after the season 2 finale. The heroine, Aeryn, was killed by her love interest John, when his mind was possessed by a neural clone. I read old posts from people and their speculations about what would happen in season three. There were rumors that the actress portraying Aeryn wasn't returning to the show, even that they were going to bring in a twin sister.

In the end, the jaw-dropping cliff-hanger was resolved in the first 15 to 20 minutes of the season three premiere and the ship, as it may be, was righted.

I still contend that Peter's consciousness if floating through different timelines and variations of his life. It would be the reason he seemed to disoriented and lost in the ep "The Last Sam Wise." Kind of a chance for him to "see" all the scenarios and a way to fix it.

I LOVE "What ifs," Adored it when my fave comics used to put out a what if issue. So, if my theory comes to pass, this could be a lot of fun. Well, fun if the ship, and I use ship any many different contexts, is righted in our favor.
