I really liked this episode, besides a few things here and there.

I love what they're doing with Naomi. She's still a little crazy & hilarious but they're giving her more depth & realness, for lack of a better word.

I'm still not fond of Navid & Silver as a couple, but can they just be honest about their feelings already.

Dixon & Adrianna have grown on me so much. I swear, I never thought I'd like them but I love them more & more each episode. They're so cute.
Speaking of, Dixon was so stupid throughout this episode. "convenient" really? At least Adrianna finally had good reason for getting pissed at him, as opposed to the other 800 times this season.

The scene between Dixon/Ade/Silver/Navid was awkward yet hilarious. I liked the separate scenes with Ade&Silver & Dixon&Navid too. Two of my favorite friendships. Though it's a bit weird considering they've shared partners.

Dixon & Liam both are so clueless sometimes, it's a good thing they're attractive.

I'm kinda liking Ivy & the graffiti guy. They're much more interesting than her & the boring photographer.

Nick Zano is still as hot as I remember & I think I'll like his friendship/relationship, whatever it is with Annie. Loved the Annie, Ivy & Silver scene in the beginning.

Sidenote: Liam's character is just getting more & more ridiculous. I don't know who Matt Lanter is portraying right now, but that is not Liam. Outside of his scenes with the main cast, I just get bored out of my mind. Liam as an actor, really? The modeling thing was far fetched enough, but whatever.

& when in the world did Dixon become clueless about romance. The same guy that said "at least write her a song" at the beginning of the season isn't romantic? But I guess they were just implying that he's not as romantic since him & Ade started working together. Their last scene was cute & sweet, even though apart of me was wondering why he lit so many candles. That had house fire written all over it.

Overall, that was one of my favorite episodes this season.

This show really needs to drop the stereotypes. Kind of silly how the writer throws in the old cliche about "food and sex" when in the very same episode, Dixon barely reacted to a half-naked Adrianna. Earlier this season, someone here complained about Annie's prostitution, and the message that it sent to girls.

Apart from those gripes, I thought the Dixon/Adrianna scenes were very nice. I did empathize with Adrianna when she got offended, and I liked how Dixon made things right at the end. It's great to see those two together, and I hope she does move in with him.

Is Michael Steger taking a break? :(

I wasn't too bothered by the "stereotypes" tbh. Because the scene between Ade and Silver was realistic to a certain extent. A lot of girls do assume that those are the only things men think about. Contributing to the stereotype would be actually making it seem as if that's all Dixon thinks about when they clearly showed that's not the case for him.

I liked this episode. I liked the girls' scene at the beginning with Ivy, Silver and Annie, and also the Ade/Silver scene. The scene with Dixon/Navid/Silver/Ade was awkward but funny! I'm glad Jen is back, I love Sara Foster.

I can't believe Naomi only got one scene with the main cast... I don't like what they've done to her character this season.

The Liam/Annie scene was nice, but why do they always act like nothing happened after they break up?! :S
And finally, we starting to see the real gold digger Vanessa! :D

Interesting point. Would've been even better if Dixon had contradicted it afterward, rather than in some unrelated scene 25 minutes earlier. As it stood, the line was just pointless -- and potentially offensive to us guys who aren't like that (and can say the same about "most" other guys we know). It's like saying, "Most teenage girls are airheads," and never addressing the matter again.

But I shouldn't be too surprised about something like that popping up on this show. By now, I know I should mostly focus on what I do like -- and the Dixon/Adrianna scenes were great.

I didn't hate it. There's nothing exciting happening but it's no worse then half the other CW shows at the moment.

So Annie's starting a charity? I actually liked her scene with Liam and her scene with Nick Zano. I'm assuming she'll romance Nick Zano next?

Also, enjoyed the Dixon/Adrianna/Navid/Silver quadrangle. I think if they hadn't ruined Adrianna beyond redemption last season then the foursome could work as swapping couples. I like Ade/Dixon as much as I liked early Silver/Dixon. Maybe it's to do with liking Dixon and hating Navid. That said, it was a bit early for them to move in together.

Is Naomi ever going to have scenes with the main cast again?

Of course Ivy will romance that dirtbag. Seriously the fact that she;s hooked up with two guys within a few months of Raj leaving is so eyerolling. If they could think of nothing to do with her they should have written her out instead of creating two more guest stars to suck up screentime.

Vanessa needs to go crazy or the writers are tools.

I wonder what it would've been like if they'd been the ones together in S1. I don't imagine they'd still be together now. :look:

I'm a little surprised that they love each other already, but I suppose things like that can depend on the couple.

Chastidy 02-08-2012 04:51 PM

Well it's been half the season  - I'm assuming one year in a 90210 relationship is like dog years .

Just look how fast Nilver fell in love, is it a surprise Dixon/Adrianna are already exchaning meaningless "I love yous"?

It was an ok episode but nothing that made me really overly enjoy it or hate it.

While I am all for Naomi maturing to a certain degree, am I the only one who feels like the fun has kind of left her? Sure she still says some witty things but just like how she felt in highschool it feels once again that she is acting way to old. She is only 4 years older than the girl she threw the party for but she sounded like she was in her 40s already learning from her lifes mistakes. And she (along with Liam and lesser extent Dixon..and Annie) have already come way to far in their careers when it comes to starting out from scratch.

The writers might as well have just jumped ahead 4 years in the future where they are trying to star their careers instead of being college students having fun, exploring who they are, and dealing with all this freedom while trying to survive the college life at that.

It seems like no matter who runs this show they have no idea how to handle these characters in the place they are in. They always miss out on so many stories that can come from high school and college.

James26 02-09-2012 12:05 AM

I didn't follow the Silver/Navid stuff. As for the declarations of love, I guess I kind of compare everyone to Lannie. They became romantic in the early part of 2010, but didn't declare love until December (though I know Liam said he'd felt it sooner).

I should watch more of Ivy's scenes. I STILL don't know much about her, but she appears to be one of the more realistic characters. From what I can tell, she just seems like a sullen, normal girl with a good head on her shoulders.
