Something I noticed in this episode: when Matt Lanter and Shenae Grimes share scenes, the chemistry is as good as ever -- as long as I can mostly ignore the current story line they're forced to talk about.

Annie and Liam deserve so much better than the typical triangle/break-up nonsense. I almost wish they had gotten married, so I wouldn't have to worry about this sort of thing.

Still waiting for the day when the writers give them challenges that have nothing to do with triangles, and when we can just see their bond flourish.

Also, I know very little about Ivy (as I don't usually watch full episodes), but I was impressed by Zinser's performance.

I don't get what they're doing with Liam/Annie. Obviously, I feel more for the Liam/Annie shippers being treated like this than I actually do like the couple but it's weird that Liam's basically told Annie it's the end of the road for a woman who's pregnant with another man's baby. He's known her a summer, for Lord's sake, if he were developing feeling for somebody else in the cast, that's understandable (and basically Liam's MO when his current relationship isn't working) but for Jane?

Everywhere you go it's pro Lannie. The chemistry is there. They've gone from just a couple to OTP, she walks in a rm. it gets the character and audience's attention b/c they have a history of a healthy RL.

They are getting the treatment everyone has.

Who knows.

Gillian and Tristan stood out in this epi. for me. The rest was, it was a good epi. but some stuff was hit and miss.

Totally, Mily. I have such a weird schizo opinion of Ivy; oftentimes I am baffled at her existence in the 90210-verse, then Gilly has an epi like this one, and I love her. Dixon REALLY should have decked Navid for all of us. When he punched that door, I DID jump though.

Also, on the bright side, no Austin = a decent epi. IK i'm bias bc I love Maxomi, but, sorry to bash, that dude's acting is awful.

I want to have faith in these new writers, but a lot of these plotlines they have going right now are a mystery to me....
I think we're all in agreement that the Liam/Jane/Annie/random guy SL is silly.
Annie as escort is equally absurd.
Naomi's SL is fun, but superficial.
I'm sick of Ade kissing ass and want her to do something interesting.
Navid vs. the rest of the Shirazis is BORING.
Silver HAS NO SL.
Teddy has vanished. Are they really going to drag his SL out all season and have him disappear randomly every few epis? It would have been wiser to wrap up his story tightly with a recurring role thru the fall, and then wish him well for 2012.

Previously on 90210....I had to sit through Austin's shenanigans. Not tonight!

Ladies and gentlemen, the hottest janitor you will probably ever see. Ooooh, Holly spilled some Starbucks. She's sooooo mean. Naomi should've poked Holly in the back with the mop. She leaves to go find Mr. Clean who will beat up Holly for the payment of Naomi's gold earrings.

Liam's nekkid legs....yummy. Yeah, I don't care about the other pair of legs. This chick wears a lot of purple so I'm just going to call her the Purple Widow. That lazy bum Liam doesn't want to make money because he'd rather make whoopee. Yeah, this is the same guy who blew 25 thou on the bar. But Mr. Salty Matthews probably understands. He takes drunken checks. The camera zooms on her big brown billowy bag. It reminds me of when they highlight that one prop in a cartoon...you know somebody's gonna pick it up and find something DRAMATIC. In this case, it's a pregnancy test. Looks like Purple Widow will be waiting for a pink plus sign.

I thought Ade was about to do a striptease, especially since she was talking to Liam who's probably still in heat.....joking. But that was soooo cute how she wore the oversized coat to stack beer. I love seeing Ade do simple stuff because it's such a contrast to her stealing songs, lying, etc. And she was happy to do it. Awww, Liam. I didn't think it was THAT mean, for the record. It's more like, he didn't want to get into it, which is the same thing he's said during the whole story arc so I got why he wouldn't want to chat about it. At the same time, I wanted to give Ade a hug in her little winter coat. Ah, that coat is killing me. I think Liam was trying to be professional in some aspects and then the whole Silver thing is probably at the back of his mind, but it wasn't so shocking that he bent a little. He wasn't mean....just non-communicative Liam.

Oh NO. Silver's dancing again. At least it's only her hands this time. Dixon's beat sounded like a throwback to the '90s. I feel like I should be singing Cece Peniston or that song Ah ah yeah, wanna be my lover.... Why was Navid trying to dance with her hat? And when has Silver listened to Jay-Z? That settles it. Sixon needs to go to a Jay-Z concert. If Dixon screws up with Juice, it will be a hard-knock life for somebody. Lookin' at you, hat boy.

Holly is stalking Annie so Annie hides the engagement ring. Holly could totally pummel Liam FWIW. Annie needs that payola. Seriously, I hope they return to Jeremy vs. Annie because that storyline was extremely intriguing. I fail to understand why this show just skirts over all of Annie's legal troubles. They could be very interesting scenes. A LOT of eighteen year olds go to court over something. So yeah, eventually, hopefully.

Annie has to go track down Bar Boy to please her stalker. Holly is still gonna want that payola.

Liam does the head bop dance. It keeps his brain going. Annie comes in to beg for his place. Awkward. I like how Liam threw in that snarky "twice." On cue: Purple Widow! Annie probably thinks it's another neighbor he mistakenly banged when he was heartbroken. Heartbroken Liam = bang the older woman nearby.

Liam's on the hot seat when he goes to Purple Widow at the bar seat. Dang, Liam. Just start fresh instead of trying to save face. And I do mean, fresh.

Ugh, Silver as Navid's assistant. S1 Silver would never stand for this. I thought she had ambition. Please park in his parking space, Silver, just once. Navid vs. Uncle Amal. I don't care. Since Silver won't make him suffer, I'll just cheer on Amal since he will.

Besties Bree and Annie dish about how much guys suck. They will be saying that for next four years. Heck, I'm pretty sure Annie said it last season. Translation: Liam, everything but your yummy legs, suck. And Bree, your chirpy "yaaaaaaaaay!" sucks.

Naomi's day sucked. Ivy's life sucks. There's a whole bunch of suck. That said, Naomi be a better friend, please. I doubt Ivy showed up at CU to discuss Greek parties. But Naomi goes off to get a revenge together.
But this leads to Sarah Hagan, so in the words of Bree, yaaaaaaaaaaay! Naomi buys a charter? Wow, okay. Eh, I'll go with it. The girls are adorable. Let's celebrate with pie/phi!

I already miss Ade's coat. Purple Widow sure is moody when she's not jumping Liam's bones. Uh-oh.....that would explain...pregnancy shocker!! She's gonna need that take out. Must tell Liam. Ade, please explain how babies are made to Liam. I think he seriously thinks it's his kid...cause that would explain so much.

I'll give props where props are due. Naomi did a good job with the makeovers and that was one slammin' ride. Oooooh, they got played. Reminds me of Legally Blonde. Sigh. How many blonde popular girl movies are they gonna cover in one ep?

"Cold Fire." That can be the name of a Dixon joint. And no, I don't mean drugs. Cute Persian wants Annie's digits. She should go for it. He's probably better in bed than Navid, who gets hat love. Annie can't be late or Holly will kill her. Stalker.

I swear I hear Rhythm is a dancer, it's a source companion...with Dixon at the DJ booth. Ivy likes his tracks. Dixon hopes Juice does. If they're about tangerines, that's half the battle.

Naomi's entrance = Classic. Dixon is spellbound. Squee. Dixon never wanted to be a gladiator more than right then.

Annie gets her groove on, which is a welcome change after multiple Silver attempts.

Lade spotting! They smiled at each other. SQUEE. It's nice to see her having fun. These little moments with Dixon/Naomi and Lade are making this ep so much better for me. This show could definitely use some light-hearted moments sprinkled throughout EVERY ep.

Ugh, Annie, you little tease. Don't turn on the Persian guy with your lips to make Liam jealous. He ain't worth it, really. Besides, you're interrupting my Lade moments. This kiss brings destruction!

"I care about you." :melts: That must've been some week. It does sound like they've gotten to know each other through their bar interactions and Liam isn't putting up much resistance. Who else is he going to talk to about it since Dixon's working hard and Navid's off spooning hats? Teddy might as well have sailed to London in a one-man boat. I don't actually miss him in this ep. Eh.

"That's what I do." FINALLY, Liam, some self awareness. Yes, you're not good at communication but you can be better at it. I really respected him for saying that and maybe he is going to try with Jane. I don't want him to but maybe she'll be the start of a more open, warmer Liam. Man, Adrianna is hot in this scene. I want a relationship, but I hope they bang in the backroom one of these days.

"Clearly I was wrong about you." He apologized and everything. And Ade was honest and human with him. Their scenes are so good. If we keep getting scenes like this, I'll wait on that backroom boinkfest. Just saying.

Of course Navid's mind went to porn. He ain't getting any. Silver is still terrified and can't shut her eyes. Speaking of shut eyes, I can't believe Navid didn't know his uncle was running a car theft ring on HIS own lot. I thought Mr. and Mrs. Randall were fools for naming their son Juice but this takes the cake. Maybe you should be the assistant, spaz.

Holly outs Naomi's intentions. This is straight out of House Bunny. I don't know why I'm kinda enjoying it though. Maybe I just like Naomi with nerds. Max!!! Holly's just mad Naomi's headpiece pwns her entire outfit.

Would your boyfriend do Megan Fox? This is the debate for today. Never mind what's going on with the economy, terrorists, Demi and Ashton....it all comes back to Megan. I can't stand these chicks and neither can Ivy. I wish she would punch them. (Punching to come later).

The Ivy/Silver scene was sweet, once again affirming that Silver's a better friend than girlfriend/assistant. That was a nice callback to Jackie's illness and it was genuine enough for me to FINALLY buy Ivy/Silver as friends.

That was actually a decent break-up scene, but we know it's not over. It's not over until a Teddy or Oscar comes onto the scene and they pretend like you never dated.

Silver wants to rock against/to Dixon, and Navid manages to man up and ruin the moment. Based on the sides, I thought we were going to see Juice. Disappointment, thy name is May. Now I'll just picture him as the healthier version of the Kool-Aid Man. Silver noticed something was wrong with Dixon! Hallelujah! I wish Dixon would've made contact. We all missed out on Juice.

Purple Widow has moved onto black because she's depressed. About time, don't you think, PW? This is all too much. He wants her to stay and to raise her baby. I know he feels guilty and Lanter's doing wonders with this, but it's just this on top of that on top of this. This storyline needs to slow the freak down. We don't know anything about Jane really. This is major character development though. He was very honest about everything.

Poor Annie has to see them embrace. And now Bree's bothering her. She can't take any more of those "yaaaaaaaaays." I know I can't.

Annie's an accidental prostitute! Yaaaaaaay. Okay, a G-rated escort. But at least she can get more of that "cold fire." Tastes like liquid chicken.

Silver got FIRED. For her protection. But Silver got FIRED.

Awww, heart-warming conclusion to the Phi girls. That was really sweet that they gave her another chance and Naomi fits in with them really well too. I look forward to future scenes with those girls.

Holly the stalker finally finds something useful. She's using Max to get revenge? Sneaky chick but I do want him to come back. So thanks. Like Millie/Alana said, good comes from bad...and all that jazz.

Sooooo I enjoyed this ep the most out of the three. It was touching in some places, realistic in other places, and just plain ridunkulous in others, which is what a guilty pleasure should do. They totally need to stop ripping off teen movies though, what with all the House Bunny recycling. I liked that movie but it wasn't even Emma Stone's best movie, dude. Liam's a fool but he is getting some character development, breaking hearts a long the way. It was nice to see Ade doing something nice for her boss/friend. The friendship scenes were really great here, and so were the almost knock-outs that Dixon and Ivy were going to provide. Silver got FIRED. Ade was HIRED and is doing great. Navid is screwed. Yessssssss. I didn't get to see Juice. Yeah, still my fave ep. I'm going to give it a B+ because it was fun, although not totally original or awesome.

Holly stalks her prey, Annie dates for pay, and Dixon spins tunes from back in the day. Keep it G-rated, Bree. Yaaaaaaaaay!

If they're going to screw with Lannie (or almost any popular couple), it should be for reasons that make a good deal of sense. Reasons that aren't mired in ambiguity and "confusion." Reasons that didn't take place off-screen.

This new team apparently couldn't do that.

One reason this doesn't work is because Lannie should be left alone.

Had me chuckling.

I'm just glad he has a story that isn't centered around "romance." It may be boring, but at least the effort is there. I've been wanting to see this sort of thing since S1.

I love how Tristan took Dixon from nice and sweet, to confused to raged all in one transistion. He was like "hey guys" then WTH?...then No you don't! *punch*

Gillian does a killer job in the heartwarming scenes, she surprises alot of ppl in that.

And kissing ass to a d-bag character that sucks the life out of her, it was so dull between those two, monotone squeaky voice transistions, they have very little chemistry in exchanges, all I thought was, put Dixon in this scene and what do we get *there I said it* he sparked w/ her in non-romantic driven scenes, while Liam isn't.

I actually like that story.

It was around this time in S2 that I stopped watching, though I came back when Annie and Liam were brought together. If it wasn't for the possible Dixon/Adrianna pairing, I'd be gone again while waiting for a Lannie reunion. Seems the show always starts off well, then...

I hope Dixon/Adrianna won't disappoint.
