Adrianna/Dixon #2: Because love can be found in the last place you're looking
Adrianna Tate-Duncan & Dixon Wilson Appreciation Thread I♥I  Come a little closer...  ...and you'll see that there's more to Adrianna than what appears on the surface. Is she snobbish? Is she vindictive? Is she self-absorbed? Yes, yes, and yes. But behind the vixen lies another young woman. A shaken mother. A forgiving daughter. A steadfast lover. And a pleasant friend. Adrianna's got a good heart. Will she open it up to Dixon next? The search for stability  It's been a long and bumpy road for Dixon. Few things have remained the same for long. Could Adrianna provide the stability he's been waiting for? Might he be the guy who's right for her? And since Dixon's not perfect either, could they help each other grow? Current Song Long Story Short Season 1 Dixon and his family move to Beverly Hills, where Adrianna has lived for years. Dixon and Adrianna share the same group of friends, but have almost no interaction. Better luck next year. Season 2 Viewers begin to wonder if Dixon and Adrianna even know each other's names. Fans become a little more vocal in hoping to see them interact. But we've a long way to go before that happens. Season 3 More of the same as fans cling to hope. Intermission Jessica Lowndes reveals via Twitter that Adrianna and Dixon will have scenes in Season 4. People grow cautiously excited... Season 4 FINALLY...Dixon and Adrianna make eye contact and direct statements toward one another. Fans applaud this bold beginning. Since there is that bit of material, they could always play it as Adrianna always had a secret crush on Dixon. That could be a plausible scenerio. Can also explain the awkwardness between them at times.

I might be a little surprised if one had a secret crush on the other. But I can still see them bonding. I think the show should see how they interact.

Silver is cake compared to the drama that is Adrianna. Dixon has a short temper. I don't know if he has the patience to deal with Adrianna's shenanigans. Still it would be interesting for both involved because it force both of them to mature if they wanted to keep their relationship past the first major hurdle.
Adrianna is a lot of work. Dixon likes when things are easy. But maybe that's what they need right now. |

He's not great at the truth. His style is to omit details instead of outright lying. He didn't tell his parents that he was heading out to Arizona, he didn't tell his parents he was dating Sasha, he didn't tell Silver about Teddy's sister, he didn't tell Ivy about his HIV test. The writers have actually been very consistent about his method of deceit, I like it. Good for them.
But who knows, Adrianna is usually the one telling the lies and excuses. Maybe Adrianna will finally understand that her lies don't just make her feel bad and guilty but also actually hurt the people on the opposite end of the lie. That's the only reason I can really think of as to why she continually lied to Navid. Actually, I'm down with this pairing if their conflicts go down like this. It could add some freshness into their bag of ideas and issues to explore. |
