Why is the second episode of Dexter Season 3 in Standard Definition?

I just purchased the first three seasons of Dexter on DVD from the same individual. The first two seasons were all in 16:9 format but when I got to season 3, the second episode is in standard definition.

I checked the definition of the other episodes and 4-7 and 12 are not the same format as 1, 3 and 8-11. Why are so many different formats used on the box set?

The way it came:

Disc 1: Episodes 1-3
Disc 2: Episodes 4-7
Disc 3: Episodes 8-11
Disc 4: Episodes 12

Anybody else have this problem? Oh, and I do not think it is a bootleg unless it is a really good copy because it looks like it was bought from a big box store. It came with a case and dvds like the first two seasons. I bought it off half.com in 'Like New' condition.
