Neal Tiemann AKA The Dr. was born on December 22nd 1982. He's not just a guitar player, he's a freaking awesome guitar player, a guitar god to be honest. He was a member of MWK, and he was the producer of David's second independent album. Now he's the music director of David's band.

David was born on December 20th 1982, just two days before Neal. Neal and David met each other 6 years ago and lived together in Tulsa before David went on AI.

Like David has said, Neal is one of his best friends and they tend to do something called guitar!sex when they're performing. Guitar!sex consists of both of them playing guitar in front of each other in an extremely hot and sexy way and getting lost in it.

I don't know but that tweet made me wonder too. Of course he could have just meant he wished he was capable of tattooing in general, but you never know, he sure has so many tattoos he may have learned a thing or two about making them.

I'm sure they have talked about their tattoos together, considering they have matching ones but if Neal does know how to tattoo and they have talked about him doing it to David... *dead again*

^This. The level of physical and emotional trust, the bond it implies is just... O_O. And David putting it on the written record that that's what he and Neal have.

I just sort of think that for David to pick out that question to answer, and answer yes so quickly, (a) Neal might already have some idea of what to do, and (b) it might be something they've already talked about (David was rather specific that he had to pick out the design

). Like you said the tattoo process is so full of meaning for them -- I think their matching tattoos are a symbol of a life bond -- and the more I think about it the more it wouldn't surprise me if Neal did tattoo David someday.

I'd imagine you'd need a lot of that to let someone who's not a professional tattoo artist tattoo you (or even entertain the idea) so David's answer was kinda a statement of that. And that's LOVE.

Yep. Love. As far as I'm concerned this is the third time David's said it about Neal.

My goodness, they'd have to get married. Wasn't Dave wearing an engagement ring at one point?

Seriously, I think they planned those tattoos for a long time. They're big, intricate designs with a lot of bright colors, very noticeable, they got them together from Neal's tattoo artist, they're mirror image -- guh. I just can't help but think they wanted something to show how deep it goes for them.

They really do, like yesterday.

All the signs point to it. xD But you are right about the tattoos. How often do guys get matching tattoos anyway? And the fact that they are so obvious, bright and everyone can see them... The boys were close before but I think it just makes their bond even more special. I don't know, I just find it so adorable.

I could totally be projecting here, and I could totally be crazy, but...*small voice* anyone think Dave might have said "I love you" into Neal's ear? He had to say the same thing twice because Neal couldn't hear him the first time and had to take his ear monitor out, and it kind of looked like that's what Dave said (both times

And that smile, and Neal's smile, and they way they both flushed and laughed...

Ok, there's no way of knowing for certain what they said, especially since none of us can read lips (and maybe not even then!) and it's pretty radical to assume David would have said "I love you" (even though it does look like it), so I don't know if I dare to make that assumption... It kinda seems out of place, you know?

But it is tempting and the thought is about the most mindblowingly adorable ever.

It just did kinda look like it, but you're right, shouldn't jump to conclusions, there's no way to know, especially not what David said.

I KNOW. Their faces. The way David leans in. The way they look at each other. Reaching over two guitars to whisper in Neal's ear. The whole thing is just kind of mindblowing, full stop. And they both just looked so happy, making each other laugh, having that moment all their own.
