Yeah it was nice he was still able to participate and see old friends. I went back and found them.

I remember an account from someone who attended the Idol season 7 performance finale who said that after Archie sang his final song (the reprise of Imagine, I believe) he barely made it to the cut to commercial before he started breaking down there on stage. Ryan spoke to him for a minute and then Debbie the stage manager came out and finally David Cook came and grabbed him in a big two-armed hug for nearly a full two minutes until they came back from commercial break. I was rooting for Melinda but Jordin was good too. Melinda did perfectly if Imremember correctly, not a bad review from the judges.
