Although I do know that DS are probably run off into the sunset with unicorns and rainbows I still detest that relationship more than ever now. It doesn't help liking the show when there is absolutely no buildup anywhere and they're always pairing Nate up with Brooklyners. If not Serena, can't he get a new girl? Nate deserves better.

Which is why I removed myself from the shippers list..or asked to be. Should do that on the Chace board, too.

Serena would be the one for him. And I think deep down, he knows that.

I never asked to be on in the first place.

If Nate doesn't end up with Serena I'd rather him either end up with alone, then Jenny or Blair. No Vanessa, that's not even a choice. They aren't made of epic stuff, I won't remember them in a couple years I bet.

ICA. They have not played that angle yet... Nate basically gave up and moved on... but that doesn't mean the feelings went away.

As for Serena, she convinced herself that (because of Blair and what they did) she can't be with Nate; that it'll never work. Truth is, what happened with SN was probably the best thing to ever happen to Blair because it brought her to Chuck... and eventually Serena is going to realize that the only man to ever see her and love her exactly the way she is - all flaws intact - is Nate.

And I for one, will not give up hope that that will happen.

There was no real "defining" moment where Nate moved on- but Serena's POV is a bit played down. I think we'll get to see what her POV of their relationship and NB pre-boarding school when they actually start exploring NS. In the mean time we just have to assume.

So true. I always feel that whenever guys date Serena- they always want something from her, or love her because she is 'Serena van der Woodsen'. Nate just wants HER, all of her. I don't know how to say it. She doesn't realize how much he cared, I think.

^Yep. Or she isn't good enough for them. She seems to be in a habit of dating guys who think they are the best thing since sliced bread and their opinion is the only one that counts.

She feels like she has to change and be perfect for them. Dan was the worst but Aaron is doing it now too. And yeah, she came clean with him last episode.. but still, he doesn't want her to drink and the thing is.. suppressing what she likes to do all the time is just going to build resentment.

She has to be free to be herself at all times.

ITA. When it comes down to it Nate's the perfect one for her. The only one that truly accepts her for who she is, perfections and imperfections included, is Nate and she really needs to just see that and go back to him.
