I don't. Season 1 of The OC was great, but after that it just fell flat which is exactly what happened to Gossip Girl, IMO.

Word Nikki. The OC was good season one and then the next couple of seasons it was unrecognizable.

I could not agree more with this post! I think part of the reason people have such an issue with Nate is because of the way he's portrayed in this friendship which just provides them more ammo for the whole "Nate isn't loyal" argument. I'm sure CN had a more balanced friendship in the past because it shows Chuck had daddy issues and Nate probably helped fill the void or whatever, but the thing is they have to effing SHOW IT.

Also, Nate needs some damn guy friends. He's obviously the HBIC (

) and he doesn't have a possy?!

The problem also is that people think that Nate is supposed to kiss the ground that Chuck walks on

As if Nate makes Chuck do these things for him or whatever. They're not organic, real, whatever you want to call them. I don't buy their relationship because I know that things shouldn't be so black and white, the grey area hadn't been explored yet.

His posse has been sorely missing. The only time we saw them was in episode 14 and that was it. For like 3 seconds. And we've only had mentions of Nate being popular. I will never understand why he can't hang with his guy friends and cause trouble that way. Ugh.
