The thing I don't get about the episode description was the 'Nate and Serena get closer' thing, since they only had two, short scenes together. Could they have meant Nate and Vanessa?

I thought Nate was pretty rude to Blair since she was pretty forgiving about Serena. I'm not an NB shipper but I think the writers haven't been nice to them AT ALL yet in season 2 which is a shame.

I can't believe the writers made Nate a prostitute. I wish she'd just leave already. I hate her. SO does everyone at Ed's board.

Firstly, I HATE the prostitute storyline. Hell, I just hate this family crisis thing. It's so boring and OVERDONE on shows. There was no need to make his family have a run in with the law. Heck, I would have preferred if it was NATE who had been caught for pot or something like that and sent to rehab, like in the books. Clearly would have been a more interesting storyline than this. It just makes Nate look so pathetic.

Two, I hate that Chuck ALWAYS has to be the one to save Nate. WTF. I love Nuck, they're my OTP in terms of friendship, but it gets annoying when Nate always looks like an idiot in the friendship. They make it seem like he can't do anything for himself. It annoys me.

Other than that, Nate was adorable in this episode.

Oh. And I'm happy that NB haven't gotten closure yet

He was really mean to Blair in the library, something clearly is up with these two.

Nate is really getting a raw deal when it comes to storylines so far this season.

Even the CN stuff was a little half-assed. If the writers had written Nate more gracious of Chuck's sacrifice to help his friend then it wouldn't have seemed so contrived. Instead, they had him be all, "I'll handle it." Now, I want Nate to try and take responsibility for things, stand up for himself, as much as the next person, but that was kind of ridiculous. Pimping himself out? WTF? That was really a weird turn.

I really don't see where they could take this and have the storyline not hurt the character. Nothing makes sense in the direction they're taking it.

That's so true! Nate always ends up being either lame, confused or the butthead in each and every situation cause the writers think that his prettiness can get him out of any trouble. If they want more people to like Nate they better start actually paying attention to his storyline. It kind of bugs me sometimes. I do think, however, his storylines have improved a bunch since season 1.
