Behind The Scenes "A Fine Mess" Photo Shoot Part 2

I'm so excited about everything that's been going on that I don't even know where to start. This last month has been so much fun! I was in LA for a good part of it finishing up "A Fine Mess" (title of the new record) which is now DONE! Totally crazy. Making this record was one of the best experiences I've had in my career yet. Mike Elizondo produced it, and his creativity and talent are immense. We had some UNBELIEVABLE musicians play on the record as well and it was ridiculously cool to meet and work with all of them. I cannot wait for you guys to hear these songs!!! So basically I spent three weeks hanging in the studio every day putting songs together (which is probably the most fun thing in the whole world) and I've also been shooting a bunch of stuff for season six of "One Tree Hill" which has been awesome as well. The amazing thing about this season is that a ton of the songs off of "A Fine Mess" are going to be featured on the show. It's been totally cool to shoot scenes performing all these new songs. While I was in LA, I also did a photo shoot for the new album artwork which was AMAZING and soooo much fun. We shot all day and got some really great stuff. Brian Bowen Smith shot it and did an unbelievable job. I'm NOW in the process of trying to decide on the album cover image. Tough decision. I wish I could ask you guys for help!! but I have to keep it a surprise Anyways, so everything is kicking into gear and we're all getting ready for a new record and a new tour as well! I'm in the midst of figuring it all out now, so we'll have new dates and tickets on sale VERY SOON!! YAY! I also just posted another video from the studio that is the 'part 2' preview of the album. It features a song from the record called "Sweet Silver Lining" so check it out if you haven't seen it yet! It's featured in the video player at the top of my MySpace page. SO as you can see I'm incredibly excited for you guys to hear this record and more sneak peeks will be on the way very soon!! YOU GUYS ARE THE COOLESTTTTT!!!

Love that we are getting a new album and even more excited that we have a name for the new album. What a great choice, A Fine Mess. Kate is creative with her titles. Can't wait to hear the full version of Manhattan from the Sky.

So true. Amazing. I'm still loving her first one and to know that we are getting another one in less then 4 months is so exciting. Makes me think of the coverart, inside cover, songs, lyrics etc.. <3

I picked up on a few changes from her early songs to songs on DLA so maybe she might have a little different tune up her sleeve for this album. It will be interesting.

Seriously, she has this voice that follows you around for ages. I love it. I get them stuck in my head at the most random times too. Can't wait to see what we will be getting stuck in our head next!
