Soaps - Zander And Emily--A Bittersweet Ending

These past few days have brought back the Zander and Emily I know we all missed and loved. They were so damn amazing and beautiful and I missed that. It is just so bad that the ZeM we get back is only for two days before he dies.

I wish they didn't kill Zander, but I did love their ending. It was beautiful and it was sad and heartbreaking. It was a good way for Zander to go out.

Anyways...I'm not the only one who loved them then and yesterday am I?

Emily:You were my first love.
Zander:You were my only love.

I have issues with NL's Em but I wont even start to go into that here because it's all about ZEm. I think it was a fitting way for Zander to go out. But what pissed me off the most was that they didn't have to rush the NEm storyline that could have happend after all ths and we could have had our true ZEm all the way until the end. Zander would have done anything for Em so this ending could have still happened even if the writers didn't choose to make Zem break up or have Zander go off of his rocker. They could have still had the stand off but for different reasons and Zander could have thought that since he kept getting Em in the same situation that it would be best if he stopped the cycle (or some kind of reasoning like that) but no, Go and rush NEm and take away the magic that was ZEm for us fans. *Sigh* I miss the old days so much!

Omg!! You are going to make me cry with having this thread. I have been a wreck since he died on the show. I have a video I made...it is very sad.

The writer's wanted us to hate Zander, but there is no way we can. That is because of Chad and his portrayal of Zander. He made him sympathetic and you wanted to care for him. What furiates me is that they are still trying to make us hate him after his tragic death but Em thinking he might have been responsible for Nik's accident (pplleeeaasssee) [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] and St. Ric, the almost rapist, kidnapper, psychopath saying how Evil and BAD Zander is. I will never hate Zander no matter how many murders and things they try to pin on him. IN the end he basically had lost his mind. He was not all there, his desperation with Emily in his last two days on the show showed that. I still say she did not deserve his love anymore. It is a shame the writers had to do that to him.

But I am happy to see Chad move on. I hope he ROCKS Hollywood and then GH can kiss his cute butt! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I have a few questions. I see everyone talking about Zemorial day. I'm assuming that's a special day that EMily and Zander shared. I'm just wondering was that with Amber's Emily or Natalia's? Also, whatever happened to Juan? How did he and EMily break up and how and why did he leave town? Thanks a lot,

Actually I think Zemorial means Zander's memorial, since we know he will not get one on the show bcz he is EVIL! [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img] Juan left town when he got a record contract... I think. Em broke up with him.

I have been making some Zander banners recently...might have to transfer them to a host so I can post some.

Lovely art Otep!! I miss the old Zem. Amber & Chad had amazing chemistry together.. I enjoyed Natalie's Zem, until she slept with Nik... it was all downhill after that for me. I do think they gave Zem an ending they deserved, much better then the ones I've seen in the past. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] However, 2 seconds later, she was all about Nickolas again, and blaming Zander for a car accident he wasn't even near at the time.. hello, when your fiance's car went off the road, Zander was dying in your arms LMAO.. only on soaps can they get away with it.

Yep, if anything I would assume it would be with Amber's portrayal of Emily.Q. Yep, Juan left town after Em broke up with him for Zander. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I was so sad that Zander died. I knew that he was going to die, but I didn't know how. In a way it was perfect him being with Emily, but in another way it just it didn't seem right for her to be mourning him so much after leaving him for Nicolas, you know? Does that make any sense?

I just hate how after the fire and when Em heard Zander was dead...suddenly Nik is assumed dead and she forgets all about Zander. And now again, after he freaking dies in her arms it is all about Nik two seconds later. [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Thanks for the responses. Hobbit: That's a good response but I saw these posts way before any talk of Chad Leaving. People mention zemorial day as one of their fave Zem days. I'm assuming that it's sex day between them since that was near memorial day in 2001. Thanks all!
