I thought since we almost always discuss the couples on soaps, it'd be nice to share what we feel about our favorite friendships/familial relationships!

Days of our Lives:
-I love jack/abby! They are definitely the best father/daughter combo. I enjoy john/belle scenes but they definitely dont come close to jack/abby
-brady/belle - They were really great when KS was still in the role. The fact that were so close even though they had different mothers was always really nice
-jack/steve - because they're funny, they're completely different and they've had to overcome a lot to have the relationship they do at the moment. It was really nice the way things developed between these two.

I'm sure I have more from other soaps as well but I cant think of any at the moment...

From Days, a few years ago (before JER took over) Mimi and Belle had a good friendship. I loved how Mimi wholeheartedly wanted Belle to be happy, and if that meant with Shawn, then so be it. They just used to be so supportive.

I think the old Greenlee/Kendall on AMC were like lightning in a bottle. Rebecca and Alicia had fantastic chemistry and were so hilarious.

And Dixie/JR when it was Cady and Jesse McCartney.

I don't feel like there's anything great these days.

Hmmm So many good ones to choose from. Here goes!

GH - Maxie and Georgie (They seam like real sister to me. Bickering, fighting, but overal they come through for one another). Alexis and Sonny (Didn't like them as a couple, but I love the mutual respect and friendship that they've developed. Ezpecially through her cancer storyline).

OLTL- Todd and Starr (One of my all time favorite Father/daughter relationships. She always stand by him. When he was on trial for murder and NO one not even Blair stayed true to him, Starr did. Their scenes during that were incredible). The Manning Family (As a whole I think the family works well. The siblings and the disfunctional parents seam real. They feel different and raw. I like it).

AMC- Greenlee and Kendell with AM and RB (hands down best friendship ever. They were magic. They could make you laugh and cry in the same minute. They were so different and fresh. It wasn't your cookie cutter BFFL type thing. They had history and the chemistry was outstanding). The original fusion girls (Mia, Simone, Greenlee, and Kendell. They had a very fun dynamic. They played off one another well and they were just great. There was fighting and side taking but, at the end of the day they stuck together. IMO the new fusion team doesnt come close).

ATWT- Henry and Maddie (I fell in love with them from day one. Alex and Trent to me have similar comedic acting style that work well together. They seam like brother and sister. He's protective and she's adoring. It just clicks. Sometimes things fit well, sometimes they dont. This relationship just DOES).

Y&R- Dru and Sharon (I love these two. Dru was so firey and bold and Sharon was too, just not quite as much. They brought out the fun in each other. They could trust one another in a town that was full of people who SHOULDNT be trusted. I really enjoyed them).

I would agree about old school Greenlee/Kendall...probably one of the most unique friendships out there.They were pretty amazing together.On AMC,I also really liked the old Haley/Ryan friendship and Bianca/Leo.

As for GH,even though there was romance involved the teen Four Musketeers were great.And overlooking past romance,the Jason/Carly friendship (esp during the TB years) has been a staple of the show.

I love Belle's relationship w/ both of her parents. Martha, Deidre and Drake have such great chemistry w/ each other.

GH-
I have always loved Jason/Carly's friendship, along w/ the dynamics between Sonny/Jason (moreso back in the day than now). I also love Lucky/Cameron because he loves that boy like he is his very own and Cameron just adores him.

I am sure there are more but that's all I can think of for now.

Passions-
i love the friendhip between Teresa and Whitney. Through eveything they are always there for each other and supporting each other. it's one of the only enduring friendships on the show where they've stayed close the whole time.

Y&R-
although there was a time when it was romantic, Phyllis and Michael's friendship is one of the best on tv period. they are so fun to watch and i love the way they always have each other's backs, right or wrong. they seem to get eachother in a way no one else does and what was really cute recently was how their spouses have been include in their friendship too, making the cutest couples friendship.

Days-
one of the sweetest friendships was between Hope and Billie when Lisa Rinna played the role. Billie was really great to Hope during the time she was regaining her memory and Hope was really caring towards Billie and went above and beyond, enduring her own pain, so she wouldn't hurt Billie unnessarily. they even hugged eachother and told each other how much they loved the other right before Bo came to choose between the two of them. Billie sacrificed her future with Bo so he would be free to be with Hope because she knew they belonged together. in most cases, especially on a soap, it would've gotten quite catty to say the least, but the Hope and Billie truely cared about each other and i thought it was one of the best friendships they had on there.

General Hospital:

Even though they had a romance way back, Jason and Carly's devotion is inspiring IMO. I adored the bond w/SB & TB both. It's nice with Laura lately as well.

All My Children:

Bianca and Leo's friendship was so amazing in my eyes. They were so raw and real and I loved that. I also couldn't get enough of Kendall & Greenlee's love/hate relationship. It was dynamite!

Sienna Blake/Myra McQueen - this unexpected bond that sprung up over the shared experience of having serial killer children that they didn't raise from birth. It was such a sweet moment when Sienna asked Myra to "give her away" at her upcoming wedding and Myra looking upon her as a daughter is so beautiful because of how extremely different they are from one another.

Aaron Dingle/Adam Barton - A lovely friendship that's grown into a brotherhood from their late teens into their mid-20's who always have each others backs in the tough times.
