Tony Jones!
I cannot believe they had him have an affair with Carly and trash his character That whole virus storyline was a mess and the text message killer like a year and a half after last killed the golden age of GH __________________

I was fine with Tony and Courtney dying. Same with NL Emily.
Now Alan, that was messed up. That should not of happened. Neither of AJ's deaths should of happened either. Saddest was probably BJ or Stone. Robert and Anna's deaths were probably the end of what I consider classic GH. Their funeral was sad but well done. On AMC I gotta mention when Brooke's daughter Laura died as well as Cindy's death. And of course Gillian. Jesse Hubbard's original death was sad too. Another one was when they had Donna's baby die after being left in a building that caught on fire. That was harsh. While I was not a big Tony fan, I will give you that he was important to history. That moment where he put his head on Maxie's chest was one of the most memorable in GH history. Tony was decent with Tania (BJ's biological mother), but Tony and Bobbie, then Carly... nah. I preferred Bobbie with anyone else. I will say I thought his death was well done though, with him seeing BJ before passing on.
I actually didn't mind the virus story. I just wish Luke and Robert had been the heroes instead of Jason and Carly. I loved Luke's reaction to Robert being alive "I'm dead. I'm dead, and have gone to hell!" I did not see Courtney as important at all. She ate up a lot of airtime but was generally pointless. Emily was more important than her, but after the recast they changed the character too much to someone I did not like anymore. She was more tolerable away from Nikolas though. I forgot about Georgie. They really made Frisco one of the worst parents ever. I get what you're saying on principle, though. They did seem to kill off a lot of characters within that two year span. BTW, in terms of killing off a bunch of characters, I also gotta give a shout out to the "Hotel Fire" era, late 2003/early 2004. Stefan and Zander were the two big ones, then there was Cameron (though he was never really developed so I can see not counting him as much), but they also wanted to kill off Edward in the hotel fire. They took John Ingle off contract and the reaction fans had to that made the network make the show keep Edward. That's when we got that Edward recast and John Ingle went to DOOL for like a year. Phoebe & Steffy were meant to be identical twins, but we're changed to "fraternal" ones. That's odd.

^Probably because it was hard to find teen/adult twin actresses, it's more common in babies and young children.

On GH when we learned that Michael "died" as a child. My heart broke. I know he wasn't actually dead but it struck me, big time.
